So sorry that you drank the DRM Kool-Aid from Apple. Now you are stuck - stick with Apple or lose your DRM'ed tunes. Really a shame. So sorry you failed reading comprehension. What a shame. Now, go kill yourself, dufus.
do you really need to tote around your ENTIRE collection in your pocke For the last time.. YES I FUCKING DO!!!!!!
The reason is that with a larger collection, lets say 12,000 songs, who wants to spend the time to pick which 8,000 song to sync to the device?????
And when I want to hear something, I want to hear it!
So, I will not buy an MP3 player that doesn't hold my entire collection of music. I also want TV shows and movies. Eventually I plan to put every movie and TV show I own on DVD onto my computer and sync it to my iPod.
I like hard drives. I'm not a child - I can carry around an iPod without dropping it.
Where I live, the schools have way too much money and do almost nothing with it. Seriously, we moved here and the schools spend about 3X per student what our old school district spend and the schools are so lousy we had to take our kid out of the public school and put her into a private school. It turns out that the district has scandal after scandal of missing money, overpaid contractors, overpaid administrators, etc.
I used to support the idea of public education, but after seeing this, I will never vote for any money for schools ever again and my two daughters will go to private schools.
The shuffle is as accessible to the blind as anything else (the shuffle is what the schools were buying). And why the hell would deaf people need a shuffle anyway?
I'm a software engineer and I'm on salary. No one pays me for pulling all nighters to meet deadlines, plus I get laid off every 2-3 years when my company goes out of business (because I work for start ups).
So, you could say boo fucking hoo for me, but i choose to do what I do. So do teachers. They have it pretty easy and I don't feel sorry for them. if they don't like their jobs, then they can quit and work somewhere else.
Their main problem isn't lack of pay - it is lack of autonomy and all the stupid rules that the districts put on them.
The landlord was pretty stupid, though. Why did they leave the doors unlocked? If I was going to evict someone, I would be there when the sherrif put them out and then change the locks and lock the doors.
On my main Windows PC, I use WinXP and the reason is that I switched to different hardware that doesn't work with Win2K due to driver compatibility issues.
Just try Vista. It's not that expensive. If you can afford a computer, you can afford a copy of Vista. I can afford to buy a large jug of drain cleaner, but it doesn't mean I'm going to drink it with my meals.
If I could stick with Windows 2000, I would have. Windows upgrades since then have just been eye candy.
My point is that you need to look ahead a little more. If your watermark being on the P2P nets is enough to give the RIAA or MPAA the ammo to take everything you got, then you are all set to get robbed twice - once by the crooks and once by the media companies. And maybe another time if the crooks steal your identity.
It isn't that hard to know when something is legal or not in most cases.
The problem is if your digital song is stolen and then posted to P2P. For example: you burn mix CDs to listen to in the car (legal), then someone steals your car with the CDs in there and posts the music to P2P.
My biggest problem with them is the gunning down of innocent citizens and the framing of innocent people.
Did the police union push that one through?
What the hell does "should of" mean? I think you failed english.

Big fucking deal. They leave at 3pm, too.

A lot of utilities are publicly owned, not for profit. Maybe this will help convince people that they need to revert to that model.
AAC is in a huge percentage of players. The very small number of players that don't support AAC don't make any difference at all.
Hell, it isn't even pro-Apple. Apple doesn't own AAC. Apple doesn't own MP3.
No, it is anti-Microsoft because as long as the format isn't Window Media, then who cares?
The only reason why AAC is better than MP3 is because it is actually a better format and also I think MP3 has some patent issues.
Microsoft would like their format to become dominate, but hopefully that will not happen because an open format like AAC is better for everyone.
What I don't get is why anyone would obey a voice coming from a loudspeaker.
If we are going by that criteria, I guess the Newton was a success too because I sure love mine.

After they cut the price and renamed it the Macintosh XL, it actually sold pretty well.
Anyone who talks on a cell phone in a movie theater or brings an infant to a movie theater is an asshat.

You obviously haven't been the victim of a crime lately.
Looks like HD-DVD is going to lose to BluRay :-(
Since Apple didn't take away the option of buying CDs, they just added another option, I think you are the BSer.
