that corporations already monitor emails and internet activity of their employees where most people log on to the internet. This may not mean much except for those with AOL accounts.
Here is a PDF file that explains the technology behind this a little better...but does not go into too much detail regarding security. It sounds like you can choose what you want to share.
"We could look better than paint. But right now, we have to look like paint."
If they could make it better than paint then why don't they? If they can make a better product, save cost and make it look better it would give them more of an edge. Especially against an industry that has been part of auto making since the beginning. The more advantages the better.
With all the speculations going around about what happened to the space shuttle and now Russia is pulling back as well. How will the astronauts in the space station get their supplies if the shuttle program is sidelined. Will NASA start outsourcing to private corporations to get the supplies up there? I bet the bloods and the crips will find this solution cost effective in doing their drive bys...this might actually simulate the economy
is that the navy is also converting all their old systems to use micro$oft on the servers and the workstations as well. I wonder if a server crashes will Bush declare war on bill gates.
Or Mono could end up in the hands of a rival like IBM that could use it to undermine Microsoft's power.
Having someone other than Microsoft to back Mono would help the project immensely, otherwise it will get lost in the shuffle at Microsoft. We all saw what happened to Java when Microsoft released their version. No matter what though, Microsoft will adopt Mono and then release their own version of it. I just don't understand why they can't see the bigger picture, maybe Bill needs to get his glasses checked again.
people get bonuses when they already make enough money from commisions. All they need to do is convince companies to stay with them. $25 million dollar bonuses for people who should have done their job right in the first place is just stupid. You reward people for doing good work not running a company to the ground.
going to work with Crossover Office that Suse is distributing. Besides paying a little extra for Evolution to support Exchange 2000, that's the only thing keeping me from converting all my work to Linux.
I would assume though that if a company is going bankrupt then all the assest as well as legal holdings passes on to the buyer. So I have know idea why m$ is complaining. The new company will still comply with the agreements Kmart had with them. Then only thing I can think of is that m$ just wants to sell the same stuff to the new company.
