Sure. That means from now on we can depict baby getting shoot in the head, while their parents are getting slowly and extremly painfully burned alive watching the whole. Then the neighbour family father and mother is slowly tortured with various intrument, all the while their youngest daughter is beeing pierced with long spike in non vital organs. The baby was naturally zapped with electrical shock of increasing voltage. Follow then various scene of terrible violence done on the kids of the neighbourgh orphenage.

Such film scenario would perfectly A-OK because, hey, there is no breast shown in the film, and everybody knows that such violence is not real violence.

And I think the anti segregation law are the same in the US (feel free to correct me on that one). So yes, *NO* private business offering a service to the public have a right to refuse service for those reason. No granted they can come up with anything else : financial reason for example, or that you have an obnoxious attitude degrading the quality of service to other client. Firstly I will ask you : how the hell fingerprinting is supposed to catch illegals. If you fingerprint you have them at hands. You can as well kick their ass out because they commited a felony (which imply fingerprinting already).

Secondly, chance is, if you are not one of the native, you were an immigrant from the last 100, or 200 years (your family at least). The US were fully built on immigration. that tells a lot that the locals now balk at the word and use it as a demon.

    2) catching legal commiting crimes.

What sort of crime ? Most crime you are already caught WITHOUT fingerprinting before. So how does it help to fingerprint people comming a few day for duty travel and holiday ? AND KEEPING THE DATA 5 YEARS AFTER THEY ARE GONE ???

I have a news for you. The immense majority of the crime in comparison from population to people gaining lawful entry of your country is msot probably from LOCAL people. So when do you start fingerprinting them ? Thougth so.

    3) Catching lgeal entry staying illegally

And how the hell fingerprinting them helps ? Do you make random control of fingerprint in the street ? Thougth so too. This won't help a iota. As usual they will catch those people when they have "contact" with the normal authorithy (police, social security, work adm, whatnot).

I am sorry but fingerprinting people arriving at airport is not a security measure. It is only used as a "tranquiliser" from your govt, to reassure people not using their brain that they are "fighting crime". And this certainly won't help crime in the US.

    Why SÉCAM in France?
Some have argued that the primary motivation for the development of SÉCAM in France was to protect French television equipment manufacturers. However, incompatibility had started with the earlier decision to uniquely adopt positive video modulation for French broadcast signals. In addition, SÉCAM development predates PAL. NTSC was considered undesirable in Europe because of its tint problem requiring an additional control, which SÉCAM and PAL solved.

Nonetheless, SÉCAM was partly developed for reasons of national pride. Henri de France's personal charisma and ambition may have been a contributing factor. PAL was developed by Telefunken, a German company, and in the post-war De Gaulle era there would have been much political resistance to dropping a French-developed system and adopting a German-developed one instead.

In other word, yes it was a questionof national pride, but no not against the US, more against the "north-east" neighbourgh which only 7 years before they had a war with...
