I had (on paper) a world for which the physic/law would have been the following :
* the profession would have a true incensitive to have other way than hack and slash. Builder (see below for dungeon) material researcher, cook etc... A way to do that is to have a few tools that each profession would be able to use (5 as far as i remmember) then a few dozen material and a few "law". Then each person would have a random matrix set by the system, unbeknown to them, setting how good they would be at using tools and law to set up product. So you could use the available receipt and make something average, or research and make something greater than average.
* a real politic , war, peace, and "not static" at the local, regional and country level. You could make a real carrier at handling politic with other player. granted I have hit a stumble there because I could not see a meccanism which was not repetitive and involveed NPC...
* no "respawn". Random mission "dungeoN" would spawn at random place, but they would stay there until somebody find them and "finish" them. Then they would appear somewhere else in the world.
* Each mission could evolve depending on the environnement. A simple bandit firecamp near a city would slowly grow to a true bastion of thieves. A simple mage dwelling could evolve to a true archmage tower. A simple cemetery with a dark mage evolve to a necromancer crypta. They can also devolve. A dungeon plundered would go to ruin. Etc...
* spells/attack weapon/tool of the trade/material would be available in normal form but for better form you would need to do your own research.
I had started to put a lot of thougth in it, but after a while I left the manuscript gathering dust. What I had put on paper was so complex (and a breathing world) that i doubt any server could handle the load for that...

US is for example one of the country with "seemingly" the less limited speech. Here in some country of the EU, we decided that incitation to hatred , and revisionism (denying some historical truth like that gas chamber existed and a lot of jew died in them) is forbidden. There is a very good historical ground for that, having been the theater of WW2. We have this things that showing violence is restricted/partly censored. But at least you can show a boob or even a pussy (not, not a cat ;)) and you won't be censored to hell and provok a scandal.

If i asked you whether I am 20 year old , 25 or 30, just reading from this short paragraph , any choice you would make is arbitrary since you have not proof toward a way or another. Just because we are speaking of God or Not God existence does not make it more "faith" based to make a choice toward NON-God existence in absolute logic. It makes it only arbitrary. The only choice which will be faith based is believing in God WITHOUT recognizing the arbitrary nature of that choice. Just like believing I am 25 year old from the choice above without recognizing this is an arbitrary choice.
Genetic Engineering : What people find negative is that it is NOT indicated on the product if this was made using genetically engineered raw mateerial or not. They are not against science. They are against not being told as to let them make their own choice. Look, there is a lot of white paper around saying the same things : the study made by FIRMS which promote genetic engineerings of crop/soja are lacking in length and depth of impact. So, some consumer want to avoid those product out of ideology (I wanna eat only natural stuff) and other due to those white paper (my own reason and of that other people I know albeit of. Not the majority but a very good procent. We still remmember some major fuck up from private firm study). But the bottom line is that it is not indicated in product composition and this WHY there had been a big backlash.
Personally whether the reason was correct or only ideological or even dumb fear on our side, THE CHOICE should still be left with us whether we want to buy a product or not. But effectively firm did not want to leave us that choice by avoiding putting in the product composition the truth of the origin of their crops/soja... You know the adage. A free market exist only if the consumer is informed.
I had a IT professor back in the end on 80's which had set up a minitel (*) chat room to "round the end of the month". The way he did it , was to hire some women, mostly 50+ "housewife", and then they chat under many personality. So sure he did have to pay them, and pay for his own connection, BUT since they chat with a lot of men and had "notice" about those, he did make some money. Not enough to be rich but enough for himself to live comfortably. He had to drop it later when traffic got low due to internet pick-up.

As far as I remmember Carbon DAting can only go so far (20000-70000 years?). beyond that you need longer lived radio isotope. One of them was Uranium in small quantity and/or thorium and subelement down to lead : they have all different half lives (there might be other method with other radio element , used with thermoluminescence). Other form of dating might involve looking at DNA and its change (rate of change being constant?) I am not too sure.

I propose harsher punishement for CEO breaking law, and corrupt politician. At the first offense they should get prison for life. After all when they break the law, their action impact negatively of a LOT of people, so they should get cumulative punishment for the amount of people influenced by their action. Small CEO, 10 people : X Year of prison without parol. Medium CEO 100 people, 10*X Year without parol. Big CEO 3500 persons, 350*X year of prison without parol. Same ofr plitics. Break the law in a town of 100 : 1 week of prison per people. Do it in new york...

Don't get me wrong I think the shuttle is a wonderful advancement, but let us be honest. When it comes for payload... It don't comes to the ankle of conventional rocket for price, simplicity, frequency, and risk (read:human lives)...
As far as I remmember (but I could remmember false) there is copyright on all part of the song (tunes, voice, lyrics etc...). Reproducing the tune as MIDI and distributing on internet would be infrigement. Now on the other hand if you keep it for yourself (family/friends) you are safe.
