I was a PCSO around the time that happened in Waltham Forest (the borough Walthamstow is in for none locals) JC for the police.

Sounds like the TSG (Tactical Support Group) that did the beating up, I really never met a copper from the borough who would actually beat anyone up (oh and the TSG are basically the riot police that support the local officers). Your right about PCSO's not knowing anything about the law, at the time we had a 3wk course which barely covered laws beyond common law, funnily enough I would know exactly who told you to stop filming since I was one of the first one's posted to that borough.

I really hope it goes somewhere, I quit 2yrs ago to go into IT because its such BS, they're all looking out for each others backs and something that was made up by one officer resulted in me having enough and leaving.

A lot of coppers are good guys just trying to make ends meat and counting the days down to retirement, the ones that enjoy doing the beating up; scum of the earth.

Well yeah you have fair use I admit, but the point I was making was that we have "unlimited" in our country compared to everywhere else with clear limits even on gold services. I myself on both BT and virgin have exceeded 200Gb in a month and never heard a peep out of either of them. 21cn is about making us IP based, and i did say 2010 upwards (I think 2012 was the new push back date? lol). But several new housing developments have fibre installed ready for it and for others it will be similar to cable where fibre goes to a cabinet in the street with coax to the house. You can't honestly tell me you expect 256k will still be the norm for someone in the country with 21cn on their street? The limit of speed on the tech will be the hardware in exchanges or whatever house is owned by bt in your are with a couple of frames in it, 100mb wont be from the word go but we will be on par with virgin media. If we don't were pretty screwed! Maquis196 P.s - Oh and yeah your right, its a bad excuse for why your sync speed reads 5mb but your getting 2mb -- "we would upgrade the router in your exchange but since 21cn is coming any day now (tm) its pointless..... Oh and disclaimer, I do work for them like ive said before, but im not an apologist, too much what we do is for profit like any good corporation :(

Caps? On transfers? you must be thinking of most of the world. I think that in the UK were extremely lucky for caps. Almost every ISP's gold service is unlimited downloading. I work for BT so I might be slightly biased but we already offer a movie download service and it doesn't touch your monthly limit (if your on opt 1 or 2).

I imagine that as many ISP's move be be media providers, movie downloads (esp from themselves) wont count towards your monthly limit. I recommend everyone checks out http://www.bt.com/btvision for the here and now on internet movies to your TV.

    Maquis196

P.S - Our bandwith does suck to most places though, 8mb is great if you can get, I only get 4 to the door which is what you need for vision. However look out for 21cn (100mb to door via fibre in most places) which is due 2011 onwards.

I have not been able to play that since I switched from 2000 years ago. I have tried under everything including vmware to no avail, for this reason alone vista will stay on my hard drive. I don't think vista is as uncompatible as people think, hell once I have the time I plan on trying some of my old games and see what works! Maquis196

Safer Neighbourhoods was created to address the concerns of the community we serve but instead we have to use things like the ANPR to get figures to make sure that our existence is worth while.

Racial profiling is a bit of a harsh thing to say, having spent countless hours on ANPR operations ive discovered that the ANPR is actually the least descriminate form of crime fighting going. It reads number plates for crying out loud, it doesn't actually look at whos driving! If your car has no insurance, then your gonna get pulled over! No tax? pulled over. Theyre all punished on my operations.

  11. I have the e606 - insights on A Detailed Review Of A 3G Phone And Network · · Score: 0

I myself got the e606 about 3weeks ago here in London. The main i chose this phone and network was mainly because of the tariff! Lets see,i get 1000mins to any network,250 free txt's,100mins free video calls and free insurance. This tariff alone makes the whole thing worthwhile. Video calling has that cool factor,a few of my friends have switched over so i can make good use of it but like the review said the requirements of the handsfree make video calls on the move annoying (especially if the handsfree is tangled which it frequently gets being stereo). however the voice on video calls is about 750ms faster then the video which can be quite frustrating at times. The battery is a pain in the ass, pure and simple! The phone came with just 2 batteries (the 700ma variety) and 2 chargers but like the review said u can only charge one at a time and the life is horrible; about 100mins of talktime was the usual and maybe about 45mins of videocalls if you were lucky. The network isnt so bad but 3G coverage allthough good in and around London is still sketchy!! You could be sitting at home and every 5mins your phone will switch between 3G and 2G mode (which as i understand it uses the T-mobile network) my beef is that if the switch takes place during a call you loose all signal and the call will cut out,it happens a lot more then the review suggested! Overall - Phone is great for the tarif and the cool factor and the network problems should be gone in 2-3mnths (according to 3) i myself am wating for the ericcson version to come out! Maquis196

Well as a historian let me tell you this; (please excuse all incorrect spellings)

France (or the franks at the time) under Charlemagne brought Europe out of the dark ages!
The French revoution marked the 1st step of the downfall of MANY monarchies!
Napoleanic France brough about the Napoleanic code,a lot of which is still in use today with countries all over the EU!
Unfortunatly due to Napoleans defeat France has been very week population wise, this is how Bismark defeating them shortly after.
In WW1, French troops suffered the highest casualties (with the possible exception of German troops) because they where the most effective. British troops where useless because their leaders were still in the 19th century and American troops didnt arrive until the last year of the war.
At the beginning of WW2 France was next door to a very powerful enemy, France fell quickly, so would have Britain,America and everyone else for that matter if they were next to them. The channel saved the British (I live in London) and the Atlantic saved the Americans.

So could some sad Troll here please explain this surrender thing to me please? Cos I would love to hear from someone (virtually every country in the world has surrendered to someone at somepoint!)
