  3. Awesome on New Space Quest Game Under Development? · · Score: 3, Insightful

The only thing that could possibly be better is an update to some of the classic LucasArts games.

Can you imagine an update to Day of the Tenticle, or dare I say it, Sam & Max? The latter game was quite possibly the most fun I have ever had on a PC.

  4. $$$ on Heart of the Net · · Score: 2

The heart of the net is money, just like everything else in the world.

Businesses want to woo customers, customers want to find free/cheap information and products. Drill down anything on the net and you arrive at money changing hands. Perhaps 1% of the net is true selfless volunteering for the greater good, but even that has its alterior motives (fame, pride, power, etc)

  10. Hmm on Arguing A.I. · · Score: 2

I don't think that ACHEIVING A.I. is as important as all of the technological advances we will make along the way. It will be these advances in technology that will help the most in our day-to-day tasks, not having a robot that thinks like a person. We already have plenty of those...they're called humans.

Well yeah, sure. There isn't a single piece of technology that isn't a double edged sword. Computerized processes are faster and more accurate, but on the flip side they require fewer jobs. A screw can be used to build a house or a handgun. A car can cut our travel time by many hundreds of hours each year, or can be filled with explosives and used to kill.
