Your a&b points have to deal with finding an app to replace Photoshop which Aperture is not ment for. You use Apeture to import, sort, minor tweaks and print/publish. If you want to do editing of the image then you export it to Photoshop. The answer to your question c is yes.
What their touting as a "first of its kind" is the how they work with the RAW file. With apeture you get all the corrections you've done with your image without creating a new file or destroying the original RAW/jpg. If the RAW converter was actually working properly then it would be a great tool but as for now its only useful for the non-professional crowd. Hopefully by 1.5 or 2.0 they'll have fixed some of the major problems that the ars technia article talks about.
Myself, for example. I get CD audio recordings from the public library. Then I rip them using open source software
and then
By the way, am I stealing music? No, almost all of the stuff that I listen to I bought many years ago
Is it me or do these two statements contridict themselves? The library isn't meant to just add additional content to your personal library of whatever format (MP3, Books, Videos).
It's an easy option for artists now to have iTunes only sell their music in an album form. I've seen a number of albums on iTMS that you can't get the songs individually.
Strange... I also bought a G5 during the Panther release party due to the 10% off moment of weekness. Mind you I love it and now hardly boot up my PC but I was wondering if anyone had the same weekness in the store that I did.
When I bought my G5 they gave me the Pro User Card (now useless other than looking pretty) and the number was 0066, which to me said they had only sold 66 G5's. I would have thought they would have sold more at that point.
Yeah I know I shouldn't buy Sony's propietary stuff. But I like it. They support the memory stick so why not go one more step and add Pro support? Oh well, I guess I'll just have to figure out a different solution and just go buy a nikon or something.
My main problem is that they wont add Memory Stick Pro support to this thing. Sony only makes the 256MB and higher cards in that format so I'm SOL to be able to use this toy. Then I agree that they need to fix the file transfer issue. Couldn't they also make it run off the iPod's battery? I'd much rather have than with a really small reader as opposed to this big thing that takes 4 AA batteries. I've written them vial email to add these features but they basically come back saying "we have no plans to ever add these features".
Many TimeWarner locations will be receiving a HDTV DVR from ScientificAtlanta called the HD8100 (I think). If it truely records HDTV I'd be happy, it's still not clear if it does or not. At least it's an HDTV set top box and a DVR all in one.

Thus I've registered blah@blah.com for the past 7 years. I hope I'm just making their spam machine go slower.

Um, Why not just buy Cubase for the PC? Stienberg has started releasing the software for the intel stuff faster than the mac counterparts. I think you can upgrade to a different platform if needed.
It really isn't that much. Last week I attended a seminar on 40Gbs network technology. It looks like the 40G networks will start becoming commonplace here in the next few years. The key is that there's not just one line of fiber laid across america (or the world). I'm not sure to as the bandwidth across America.

I love how the poster writes that all classified government work deals with bombs. There are just a few more programs than "bombs".

It's available today. I just got my copy in the mail from dvdplanet for $13.96. Along with Mitchell, since that's another MST classic.
