I almost never drink coffee or tea with caffeine. Not that I'm against them, I just don't like them, I prefer herbal teas. No Mtn Dew or Cola either.
The problem is when I do need some caffeine (Monday overflow or something) if I drink a small cup of regular coffee, I get all anxious and shaky, my pulse increases and overall I feel bad. So, if I didn't get enough sleep, coffee does not make me feel better.
This really depends on developer's interest. When releasing the software, developer has way more freedom to choose the software licence, then the user, who buys the software. Therefore, I'd argue that user's freedoms are in more need of a protection.

The only reason the GPL exists is because some people think that software developers should not have the right to profit from their own work, and this is morally wrong.
If some disaster strikes the area where I live and my mom won't be able to reach me (cellphone, landline, whatever), there is a high chance she'll have a freaking heart attack.
What I find most uncomfortable with qwerty is how all the punctuation and brackets, which being a programmer I have to use very often, are supposed to be hit by right pinky. Haven't tried it, but don't see how dvorak is any better. Especially, having {} [] way over at the top. That would piss me off.
