I use Terminator primarily as well. Nice and useful plugins for it.
I also use tilda bound to F12 for long term, persistent commands, that I want to check on occasionally. VPN connections, etc. It's simple to use, and has a very minimal foot print.
Wow. The trusted source of truth for a township is a Facebook page. I don't mean it as a slight to the commenter, it's probably very accurate, it just is amazing to me what the world has become.
Slashdot moderation isn't Youtube moderation. Slashdot grants users who have earned amount of Karma, and who visit the site regularly, 5 moderation points.
Youtube, et al, let every Tom Dick and Harry (and bot) vote.
The more scarce moderation points should be carrying significantly more meaning than one like, thumbs up, or +1. For me at least,/. isn't about finding the most popular statement. It's about finding the salient arguements around a subject. I'd much rather read 20 +3 comments, than 5 comments with 432154315438 likes. All a like proves is popularity.
I've been using linux full time for about 6 months now. There definitely have been a few gotchas that I've come across. Most of them are resolvable, but I would still put Outlook as an program that needs to run on Linux. I can make do with Open Office for the rest of the MS Office suite.
I've used Evolution and Thunderbird as replacements, and they can for the most part function as email clients, neither of the calendar options are anywhere near "Excellent"
While I have run across a few issues with in Calc (it has a lower limit of columns than Excel does), None of them are show stoppers.
I work in the Call Center industry so I'd like Avaya's applications to run natively as well. CMS Supervisor and One-x Agent to be specific. Those I have resorted to a WinXP virtual machine.
All in all, I'm 99.9% functional in Linux... But as far as my own stats go... I was probably only 99.9% functional in Windows too.
"Actually, prior to X-Men, we were regularly disappointed. Because everyone who tried to make a comic-based movie did a terrible job prior to that. There's almost not a single comic-based movie before this which treated the material well and didn't devolve into some corny parody,"
Um, I can recall several excellent Superman and Batman movies that predate X-men. I'd put the first TMNT movie in that list as well. Some other fairly good, and successfu and somewhat accurate to the material, comic book movies before X-Men: Rocketeer, Robocop, and The Crow.
As someone who manages Virtual Queuing equipment and other call center equipment, like PBX's and such, as an outsourcer, I've found that the primary use of Virtual queuing and customer call backs isn't for the benefit of customers at all. Most times this technology is deployed is when the company is providing regulated service. Often the regulators require calls to be answered in a certain amount of time (let's say 3 minutes), and if the Virtual Hold system answers the call immediately and places the call back when they customer would be next in line then company meets their mandate of answering calls within the 3 minute time frame.
This is great news for the company as they avoid paying penalties in an understaffed call center, as a call that would normally take 30-90 minutes to be answered appears to be answered almost immediately, despite the customer not reaching an agent for an extended period of time.
For what it's worth, the outsourcer certainly can be required to use 3rd party software as requested by the client. It all depends on what's written in the contract.
Normal Viewing Distance is really the essential part.
To fully notice the detail 1080p you need to sit approx 7 feet away from a 50 inch TV. If you bought one of those 32inch TVs... Try 4 feet away. You'll only start to the benefits of 720p at 9 feet.
If you watch your TV from across a decent sized room, you need an exceptionally large screen to really soak in the benefits.
Well... If they are clever enough to breathe: I have a product I'd like to sell them.

Bottles of Canadian Air, at the bargain price of $10 a bottle. It's a steal of a deal, and just in time for Christmas.
unique selling proposition (point)
BTW I do welcome any and all references to pulp fiction.
If you really have your tinfoil hats ready:
According to the Helms-Burton Act of 1996, 15% ownership by an American company is enough to stop Alibaba from dealing with Cuba.

Oh I want to add Skype as well.
It works, yes... as long as you don't want to view someone else's screen. It's horribly blurry trying to view someone's desktop.

Even Nudists wear hats.. if you're then worried about your brain being irradiated: keep it in your tinfoil hat to be safe!
Yes I am sure he meant reseat. If you have to question that... Then you need to stop staring at your Apple iWatch, and re-evaluate your geek status.
Agreed... Tovalds having a google+ poll for changing major version numbers is as arbitrary as not having windows 9.

Then go to Global, or CTV, or CBC or whomever has the requested show.

Just make the car white... and put a fruit symbol on it. Millions of people will buy it despite the fact it has no practical application.
It's time to pay the piper!
RIP Steve. I'll wear a black turtle neck tomorrow for you.

If a plane were to crash on a deserted island I don't think a flight chart is going to make a difference.
and I'm sure there would be more paper weights than just the ipad... besides, at least you could play some angry birds :)

you're even more ripped off when you consider that the AUD is pretty much on par with the USD.
In the states the phones are retailing for $599 (16GB), or $699 (32GB).
How do you like them apples?
Torqer.
Where'd you get that number from? Please don't try to sell anyone a TV (or a tablet) and say such nonsense.

Wii can output at 480p, but it certainly isn't HD.

and the comments are strangely not off topic...
