Not really. The current administration doesn't view such individuals as anything more than criminals. Currently, even terrorism is being viewed as less an act of war and more a crime. So for the next four years "enemy combatant" means very little.

Silencing the dissent much?
This isn't tax cheating. It's tax avoidance. It's not illegal. Wake up, People. There's nothing wrong with avoiding paying taxes. In fact, we should all do so as best we can. It's time for the government to be fiscally responsible. Not simply strangle it's constituents to placate budget inflation.
"You're really going to defend tax cheats? They make a ton of money from US customers and they live in the US but they don't have to pay there fair share of taxes?"
If the money isn't earned here then tax shouldn't be paid here. Also, people who have their money taxed at earning and want to store it overseas to avoid inheritance taxes and capitol gains I frankly applaud.
Right now Obama had damn well better figure out how to incentivise corporations. He seems to think the government can simply hire those out of work and this is just not the case.
Right-wing straw man? Have you even seen what is being passed out as text books? Do you have kids in school? Yeah put a couple of kids through school and come back and talk about what schools are really doing.
Cut the teamism. Education has been fucked up long before NCLB. In fact, it is a liberal enclave and the left has used "do it for the children" as a means of gaining power for themselves and the teachers union for 40 years. We throw WAY too much money at education. Much of it doesn't go to the classroom and teachers where it should. Rather it goes to administration. Leftist feel-good cirriculums dominate and as such our kids learn to either throw a ball or drop fries. Science and math skills tank but we have happy little taxpayers who learn to vote in all the politically correct garbage they read in the "picture books" they were given in grade school. CUT the funding, limit the course work to what matters, fire administrators, and raise teachers' pay to attract our brightest to the field. Otherwise, stop bitching about education and stop using my tax dollars to fund this toilet.
For the same reason people are largely not paying for satellite radio. We've grown accustomed to not paying for it. And why pay Youtube if the content or like content can be viewed elsewhere?
I stopped reading Digg long ago. If I want to know what a clique of people think I should read I can go to any blog or online magazine site. At least there I can know who the author is.
Political Correctness hits the naming of the flu. This is what happens when stupidity is coddled. It starts with warning labels. Then those plastic covers on AC outlets. Nature has no way to naturally select out idiots. They grow up and work in the public sector like politics, the U.N., or the WHO.
There is no way Apple is making another phone. That just isn't happening. I think talking with Verizon is smart but frankly would like them to make a phone that any carrier could use. The single biggest limiting factor to the iPhone's widespread adoption (as great as sales are now)is AT&T. I'm sure Apple knows this.
Your boss is just wrong. Most data centers are not run with pre-ordered, machine crimped cable. A cable company comes out, runs the strands, and crimps them with the same tools that you and I work with.
How fortunate that corporate America has found people who'll work for free. Just in time for the down economy. You'd think they at least barter services to these guys.
In the mid-2000's states were running surpluses on the fat of the economic recovery from the dotcom bust. What happened to those surpluses? The states spent them like any "good" politician. Now they're all up in arms about not having money and are, like their federal counterparts, looking to increased taxation as a means to fiscal health. Unlike you and me who have to not only bear the increased taxation but also cut our personal spending. The government simply increases spending and taxation. Thus the cow stays fat, the milk trickles from the teat, and the piglets nurse in ignorant bliss.

Something tells me these protesters will be reported more favorably than the Tea Party protesters, who were of course bigots and fanatics.
Oh I agree they were aware. The assumption by the poster was that they give a shit. :p

This is outside Obama's thinking. The current mindset is "Tow the line or we take over." Which is a wonderful mindset in a down economy!

(slowly puts the book back on the shelf) Always with the negative vibes!

Didn't Digg stop this when they got a flurry of smack-down?
Frames suck! Period. It's bad enough that MySpace relishes their circa 1996 page styles now this?

I don't trust the Chinese to tell us anything truthful.
By "Chinese" I mean the nation not the people. People who have left China for a better life I'm much more willing to trust.
Using that logic the Nazi's had balls too.

Damn I wish I had mod points! ^+1m
Not exactly. You can do no more than visit a website and have malware load and run on a PC with no intervention.
Of course, this is Flamebait because it's dissent.
Keep in mind your Holy President has extended a hand to the RIAA and furthered wiretapping. Enjoy your change!

Well there's a liberal in the presidency and it was conservatives who fought it off all these years. Sounds like a snug-fitting shoe to me.
If you voted for him, behold your creation.
