    Keep in mind, folks, Kerry is the one that when asked if he supported states rights to allow marijuana use for medical purposes said, "I think the states rights should be respected until the federal government has evidence and a decision that says otherwise. And I don't think we have that."
    For those of you who are locked in a lab, he said he supports it until the federal government sees a reason to not support it.

    But we don't have the wait times Canada does for relatively routine operations. In fact, many wealthy Canadians simply come to the U.S. so they don't have to wait. Is there a problem with our Health Care System? Yes. Is a public system the answer? No.

    What do you expect when P. Diddy is saying "We have to teach people how to register?" C'mon! It's time for people to take some responsibility. Granted, you can do nothing about flaky machines and buggy software, but that whole "hanging chad" and butterfly ballot BS was user error. If you have to be taught how to walk over and ask an election official a question, DON'T VOTE! Stupid people shouldn't vote....period!

    This is true, they'd get licenses for the OS. But at least there'd be a competitor for the hardware. It's a shame, seriously, because they gave you more for your money. Upon reading part of the article, I'd have to agree. Some of the style of things like the keyboards etc. were really getting funky on the Clie'.

    Let me rephrase this: "Sharp announced today that they are pulling their PDA's from the U.S. market. Citing that something is obviously wrong with U.S. consumers not preferring the more expensive yet cheaply made Zaurus to the plethora of PocketPC-based PDA's for considerably less money!"
    See, oddly enough if you hype up the technology arena about how much money Linux saves you then release a Linux PDA that's $100 on average more than an iPAQ, well people just start scratching their heads.
    Now Sony I don't understand. They beat Palm feature-per-feature and for less money. When I bought my Clie' T615 for $199 it was easily $50-$100 cheaper than the comparable Palm and I got an expansion slot to boot (not boot but..well, you know).
    Now we can look forward to PocketPC's and Palms owning the market...again. This is a step backwards, unfortunately.

    I've not delved into how often Gaim resets the conversations, but I'm thinking fairly often. I've contemplated setting up a script to off load them. I could also script it to grep and filter the logs for words. Okay, okay...this is getting into a lot of work to find out if my daughter's boyfriend is trying to do the back-seat mambo with her. But then again, THAT would be worth it! You gotta figure my threat to cut off his thumbs if he touches her inappropriately will only win out to raging hormones for so long!

    Gaim, on Linux anyway, also logs your conversations. this is nice if you have kids. I can go into their .gaim directory and grep for dirty words!
