NVidia will sell the design of their GPU core, maybe some software, IP and other tech to other companies to make and design their own chips based on the NVidia architecture. the thing is, there is demand for high end GPUs, but for it to be reasonable to include NVidia's tech, they need more freedom to design and implement the hardware as they wish. this is going to be a completely new market for NVidia and will bring higher quality graphics and NVidia IP to more devices. this is a move toward collaborative computing, designing and sharing ideas and technology that will ultimately make the world a better, faster, higher quality, and more efficient place. plus NVidia otherwise has a strangle hold on quality graphics, this is their duty to help makes high quality graphics mainstream and easy to implement. no more need to reinvent the wheel and start from scratch every time I want to implement graphics or fight over my inability to design something worth using anymore! maybe we even move away from 2D and subpar for good now..
I don't even care to read your argument. it doesn't matter what they're capable of understanding, they should be taught, introduced, and told what it's about without hiding shit. the brain learns from these early experiences what it should think in the future, everything they learn is heavily influenced by what they're told and what kind of world they grow up in. the issue is that, hardly anyone is putting any effort into raising or properly teaching kids things, or setting proper examples, so they aren't given any opportunity to properly understand or learn about it till much later in life, once they have already misunderstood and made quite a few mistakes. adults grow up more aggressive, illiterate, making dumber decisions, and having less insight into things this way - plus, sex is harmless, and it may be that children should be engaging in sexual activity and that they are missing prime experiences as young kids, delaying sexual maturity or preventing it entirely. I also believe that it's important that humans experience more things at a younger age as possible, as it helps hard wire and develop the brain later on - they end up with a brain which is physically capable of enjoying sex better, or having special skills that they otherwise couldn't develop if they waited until adult hood. Hiding sex from kids is one idea, but it's a bad one and the only thing that's practiced today. It doesn't have to be this way, kids can have harmless sex, and there are some cultures where it occurs. There's not anything to understand about it, they just do it.

hardly any software on the DC used WinCE, right. that article doesn't explain it very well, but most games/software titles run "on the metal" - ie they have their own engines and control/run on the hardware directly, no OS is loaded at all. WinCE was ported to the Dreamcast and capable of running on its' hardware, and only a few titles ever used it, all of which I believe were ports of Windows applications like Sega Swirl and the like (which was also available on the PC/Win32 platform).
The numbers don't tell much. Part of adding flash cache is supposed to be so frequently used data can be accessed with much lower latency and more randomly, and it's not aiming to speed up a single application but the entire system. It would have been nice to know how the desktop performance improved or "felt" - overall responsiveness of OS and application loading, multitasking, etc. That's where the performance improvement is going to be.
I look forward to seeing what AMD's new architecture brings. It's not really interesting thinking about it as integrating a GPU into the same space as a CPU, but creating one chip that can do more exotic types of calculations than either chip could alone and making it a available in every system. I'm also envisioning "GPU" instructions being executed where normally CPU instructions were when not in use, and vise versa, basically so everything available could be put to use.

Antipsychotics and other neurological (stimulants, antidepressants) drugs can cause tourettes like disorders, ie tardive tourettes. I imagine a persons physiological/psychological response could be severe enough to cause a similar problem.
I think you're all wrong about what he means by being a victim/perpetrator; he might be talking about statutory laws that make it illegal for children to consent to engage in sexual activity. Somehow he seems to be a believe that sex-ed will promote underage sex with peers, and in by doing so be a victim and violate someone else at the same time. Perhaps?

how about: excessive engagement in high stimulating activities such as the Internet, TV and online videogames, that ultimately depletes neurochemicals and at the same time causes a depression when experiencing less stimulating/normal activities? sometimes there really is too much of a good thing.
