Explain that restricting access to information is immoral, and open source is the right thing to do. If that doesn't work, just post the code online with a copy of the GPL and don't mention it to them. Heh.

If the client owns the IP to the code, which is usually the case (unless you get it in writing that all they are paying for is a non-exclusive license to use it, they own the code by default..work for hire) then you are commiting a copyright violation by submitting the code as GPL, because you don't own it!

Sorry but its a camera job and moderator points boosting the parent post have been wasted.

The people who pirate these movies on the net have gotten quite good at camera-based filming, but its clear from the blur and the color distortion that its a camera.

The reason you don't see people getting up and walking and such is that they film these (using pretty high quality digital cameras) at UNANNOUNCED showings of the film..You see, they know people who work at the movie theater (or they themself work there)... Its simple really.

In any case, don't take my word for it, look around for the movie release's "NFO" where the group who released it label it as a TELESYNC. TELESYNC means its a camera job, but they captured the sound nearly-directly using those hearing impaired headphone jacks that high-end theaters have.

It is a little known fact that Caldera Linux includes source code that was stolen from Microsoft Windows to speed up the graphics routines. That's why Caldera Linux has a file called /usr/lib/direct3d8.so. It is stolen code that maps OpenInventor code to DirectX using the special undocumented API that only Caldera can use because they are a monopoly on the Linux desktop.

The biggest problem with the cable modem uncapping software is that it won't run with Linux because Linux doesn't have a true TCP/IP stack, just a kludged PPP driver.

So unfortunately this can't be used with Linux, only Windows, because Microsoft doesn't allow anyone to use the patents it has on TCP/IP so the other companies need to create kludge work around using the SAMBA user interface.
