look at rotten.com which was banned in germany - but they have no way of actually implementing that. also germany has tried to make cerfues (selected times where it can be viewed) on internet porn sites - which is also un-implementable. unless your operating in the country and they have a physical means of stopping you - your free.
If your going to do anything outside of a technolgy field I'd recommend getting a BS in *anything* since it won't matter what the subject is, so much as show your "status".
If your working in any kind of technology field it's definately better to stick with certifications in your field of work/interest.
The Reasoning: My girlfriend (25) currently works as an inside sales rep for a tech company, before she had her degree (BS in Marketing) she was stuck as a marketing intern with a glass ceiling. She got her degree makes 40k plus commision (usually comes to about 50-55k a year).
I (22) currently work as a graphic designer for a real estate company. I never went to college but have a few certifications in my field - and have a kick ass portfolio. For every job I've applied for the only thing I am ever asked for is my portfolio (i've been hired for every job i've applied for) I like what I do and currently make 40k salary with a perk of 30 days a year paid vacation (which I spent in europe last summer)
Conclusion: My GF with the BS in marketing makes more $, but its her commission that makes her more money, NOT our base pay. Note also that I am 3 years younger than her:) and have way less stress in my career also.
agreed, although i used paypal to sell off all my old pc hardware, maybe since im not selling thousands of dollars worth of stuff, but ive never had a problem with them and ive had about 1 transaction a week since i joined 3 months ago.
back in the early nineties i saved my allowance for several months just to afford my NES and Zelda - Genesis and Sonic the Hedgehog tried to persuade me otherwise, but NeoGeo didnt even enter my head.
a while back i wrote somewhat of a humor article about aibo using alice's features on its responce, and seeing that done with "brainbo" on the aibohack site just makes me want to laugh at all the people who made fun of my suggestion and said that would be a waste of time. (now i feel better)
Back when I was working in a computer retail store (cringe) If we (the employees) by apathy or purposely placed an incorrect price on any item (ie: priced a $200 item at $20 - forgetting the extra "0") we would have to honor that price at the cash registers. Therefore Apple who through some flaw in there thinking placed the full version on the cd - should honor the fact that they screwed up and think ahead for next time.
On a side note I never saw MS going after all the sites telling about there win95 upgrade being used as the full version when placeing a file called ntldr in the root of a newly formtatted drive.
i think #5 should definaltey be mandicktory!
all the more reason to use the 15 billion other news sites on the internet
