  1. How old is old? on Linux on Older Hardware · · Score: 1

So what do they call old? I've got a Pentium 133 (32mb ram) running with Debian, and the newest 2.4 kernel ... it runs really smoothly as a gateway, it is even able to handle MySQL and Apache without problems ... of course it's slower that a brand new Dual P3, but that's not really important for me :)

Well, what will they do with these keys? Sell them? IMHO it doesn't matter if you've got a generated key, or if you just grad one from the noumerous crack-serial sites around the net!

I disagree! Everyone knows that competitioun is both good, for us (the customers) and for the companies themselwes ...
But in my opinion Philipps &co. have a monopoly an this is no good! Small firms can't pay the fees for the patents and they will create new "standarts" ... just look at the DVD writers, there are no less than 4 formats to write DVD's (DVD-R, DVD-RW, DVD+RW, DVD-RAM ...)

I suppose they're doing what (they suppose) is best for them, without caring about others. They're trying to push other manufacturers out of business, or they want them to pay ...
It's tough but that's the way how it goes, it's the same in every branch of today's business! *sigh*

  13. Vim & EditPlus on PHP Development Environments? · · Score: 1

Well, I tried many PHP editors, and under Windows the best one I could find was EditPlus (or Edit+ if you want), it simply works fine, it's light and stable. PHPeD isn't too bad either, but EditPlus has more nice features!
Now i've been migrating to linux and i couldn't find anything similar to the Windows PHP-Editors, so i'm now using ViM with "syntax on" (.vimrc) ... it's not very handy but if you get used to it it's a neat editor.
