    Rush Hour 2
    Next Friday
    Austin Powers 2
Ep1 (more than ep5 and ep6 - yes I know it's not a sequel to these, but it sorta is, and also B.O. costs went up, but this guy's arguement is about "revenue," which is simply wrong)
    Friday the 13th pt. 4
Basically all of the Kevin Smith movies vs. Clerks
James Bond (true, not direct sequels, but after 20 episodes, the public still has an unquenchible thirst for these flicks!)

All I'm saying is that it is a sad day when a person says that he would "discourage" such thinking and experimentation. It is the basis of humanity that we broke away from the animal kingdom and have, in 100,000 years done the impossible, which is break away from the life systems of organisms for the last 4 billion years. We are the only organisms (most likely) in the history of the planet to have removed our dependence on nature, and the pioneers of this were merely cavemen. Firstoff, just because I don't think ALL corporations are evil doesn't make me a biggot. Hmmm... if a biggot judges someone with little or no information, then... WHY YES!!! YOU are Mr. Biggot! Slashdot is full of people like, say... you who feel that all corps are evil. Microsoft, right? Take a look at this week's Newsweek. $24 Billion dollars to charity. Like all corp-haters, you'll find an excuse of why this is either pennies to him (it's not - 1/2 his fortune), or simply a ploy to get people on his side (it's not, if you READ the article).
Anyway, as a medical student (who is $100k in debt, so that blows away your "I must be rich" argument, not to mention your "I'm an idiot" one too, come to think of it...), let me ask you this... are these "evil corporations" evil for becoming sucessful? Please tell me how the city of Detroit would be without the automobile corporations? How would Haiti, New Delhi and Rwanda's bankrupt health clinics operate without Bill Gate's unprecidented generosity? I DARE you to argue that Gate's donations (soley from he and his wife Melinda), which according to Newsweek are DOUBLE what any ORGANIZATION has EVER donated, are for evil purposes. He could have donated $3 billion, or topped the other organizations at only $15 billion.

Come to think of it... you're not even worth it. Your pre-judgements of me simply supported my original post, that these anti-corp protesters simply mutter allegations and name-calling without any sign of intellegence.

"Corporations look out for profit only, not the people," or "People are dying in Africa and they sell $4 cups of coffee."
They can protest till they get arrested (which is what they often hope for), but in my opinion, it's either just:

    a) Empty rhetoric, meaning that they are in fact the puppets hey preach against, as they themselves don't even have intellegent reasons for what they are doing

    b) A longing to be "cool" and protest like in the 60's, when there were REAL issues to overcome, or...

    1) TiVo allows you to not rush home for shows. If you arrive at 10:06 for you favorite show, TiVo allows you to rewind the program back to the beginning.

    2) TiVo is always recording! Even if you are not specifically recording a certain program, you can click the "flashback" button and rewind 8 seconds to see something you might have missed!

Anyway, I was an astronomy minor at an Ivy League university. I never brag about stuff like that, but it was you who called me a "schmuck like you." I wonder what community college you got your MS from, because 100% oxygen at 1/5 the pressure is still an entire oxygen environment. Regular pressure with 20% oxygen and 80% non-flammable gas IS still the same number of O2 molecules, but is NOT the same thing.
So you're basically saying that you'd rather be trapped in a bank vault with a PURE oxygen environment like Apollo 1's that I described than in a regular Earth-like air makeup of 20% oxygen and 80% nitrogen. Try lighting a match in a regular enclosed bank vault. It would light and be contained like any other Earth-match. Now, try lighting one in "your" bank vault choice...

Interestingly enough, in order to keep with the desired "20% oxygen" atmosphere of the capsule, NASA decided that they would create a total O2 environment, but at only 20% of the pressure to give the same net result. Unfortunately, of course, this created a COMPLETE oxygen environment which allowed the fire to spread wildly. From then on (the next manned mission would be Apollo 7) and including today's Shuttle, the compatment contents are kept at 20% oxygen by means of an air consisting of 20% oxygen and 80% nitrogen.

Apollo 7 and on also gave the astronauts complete and independent use of an emergency hatch opener, a lesson tragically learned from Apollo 1.

Do you really think that Pakistani President Musharraf wants to help America out of the goodness of his heart? No!
