  4. Re:SCO winning in mainstream press on SCO's claims Against Daimler-Chrysler Thrown Out · · Score: 1

It had been mentioned prevously that theSCOgroup had sent the initial letter to the wrong address (an old Chrysler address?) and also had addressed the letter to a previous CEO who was no longer with the company. It was also mentioned that DC had not used UNIX System V in 7 years and saw no reason to rush the response after receiving it at the last minute from a company they never heard of. The original contract was with AT&T. Unix has passed through many hands since then. Perhaps you could check some sources and include these details. Thanks for reporting with integrity.

  5. False and swayed information? on Ask Wikipedia Founder Jimmy Wales About Online Collaboration · · Score: 3, Interesting

How do we keep the entries honest?

I was able to alter a current entry with no questions asked. The change was an attempt to add information according to my point of view.

It seems to me that someone could do this with an agenda and repeat daily. Is there anything to stop someone from leaning entries in favor of political or (anti)corporate positions.
Once an entry is considered historically correct, can the entry be locked? Would we want to?
I realize there is a way to point out disputes once found. I'm concerned with bent truth, finalizing a dispute and keeping it from recurring.

    SEARCH TIPS
    1) Check your spelling. Are the words in your query spelled correctly?
    2) Try using synonyms. Maybe the site you're looking for uses slightly different words, like "film" instead of "movie".
    3) Make your search more general. For example, instead of using specific product names, try using the generic product category.

  13. Mini Cool Linux CD / Slackware Review on MandrakeMove Bootable Linux CD Announced · · Score: 1
"Slackware-Live" is a very clean linux system. It will install a standard KDE desktop with kOffice. It has no problem using your dialup or ADSL/(cable too?) IF you know how to use adsl-setup/adsl-start which are easy to learn.

The "Cool Linux CD" on the other hand is very amazing. It will detect and install drivers for your nVidia card (and others?) so that you can use the included 3D games, various 2D and 3D modeling software, 3D Solar system and Universe models, Packet Sniffers and a few other neat items. Cool Linux CD is a loaded Linux CD. The only problem I had with it was connecting via ADSL.

Lets hope Mandrake has landed somewhere in the middle. should be fun.
