    I can't find the original article I read where in the late 90's an IBM employee worked out how to partition a mainframe for Linux. But they did offer it and actually helped get Linux accepted as many began to say "If IBM backs it it must be good". The best link I could find on this is from 2001:

    They are already vestigial. Beyond clamp holders they have no use. Besides Adam was created first, so it makes no sense based on Biblical "evidence". Unless since God is female or He likes nipple clamps.

    It turns out there is a large amount of slippage when people work remotely. Nothing is more efficient than face-to-face communications. Direct communications is a central tenant of the Agile processes, which why I do not think it ever really works with large far-flung projects.

    I get a good 60 to 70 pct more than that and I live outside of Silly Valley. Which means a lower cost of living. I have a great life style which includes a short work commute.

    Another way to do it is to
    1) write up the documentation
    2) run him through it once on a simple example
    3) give him a complex task
    4) when he screws up be sure everyone knows about it.
    5) If you are confronted just say "I thought you hired a qualified person".
