However, the main thrust of what you say will probably turn out to be true. GBA back-compatibility on the DS was a big plus for the system, particularly given that its native games lineup is still looking pretty weak, even by comparison with the newly released PSP. If there is a well-known, easily accessible GBA emulator for the PSP, this could be a significant factor in deciding the overall result of this particular round of the console wars.
No, no, no, no. Unless the GBA emulator comes preinstalled on the PSP, or can be purchased like another game, this will have close to 0 impact on the portable wars (I'm guess you meant portable, not console). Except for an extremely small portion of people who keep up with this stuff, no one buys a system to run emulators, Linux, chickens, etc. on it. They buy it for the capabilities that are built into the system and the games that come out for it. Period.
The whole series seems to be going downhill. The first season was about characters and suspense. Now it's about how much bigger of a threat they can make the terrorists.
I fully expect that next season Jack Bauer will be saving the United States from a terrorist plot to reroute a meteor to strike Las Angeles.
Why is it that they can send Jack anything on his PDA whever he is, but they are constantly copying files to CD's to move data from one computer to another only a few feet away?
People complain about tech in CSI, but 24 takes the cake.
I actually gave away a Hammy Award (first and only so far) to the show 24 for their ridiculous use of technology.
It would be impossible to point out all of the impossible things that happen because of technology on that show. Even worse is their use of computer terminology that doesn't even make sense. They like to throw the terms "port" and "kernel" around all the time.
Ok, so maybe it was exageration. And actually, I have improved quite a bit over the last two weeks. However, Slayer is definitely my worst playtype because I don't seem to be very good at aiming. If I take someone else head-on, I almost always lose, unless I have something like the shotgun.
As for other gametypes, I find those more enjoyable because I can usually contribute something to a team. I'm fairly decent at returning flags, if I can get to it.
This was my greatest game so far though. It's the first individual game I've ever won.
Um, I was only talking about the size issue, not the issue of getting the games to actually RUN from the memory stick. That (obviously) hasn't been done yet.

It looks like the first 3 games that were ripped were each less than 500MB. You could, in fact, get all three of those games on one 2GB memory stick. Unless there is a ton of FMV, I wouldn't guess that most PSP games are going to use anywhere close to 1.8GB. Although, we could see game studios putting junk content on the disk to up the size to try to stem pirating if it becomes possible
It helps to have a circle of friends on your list that are actual adults with jobs. They usually don't feel the need to swear you out when they beat you (to which my response is usually "Wow, you are so great at this online game, you are right, I am your bitch!"), plus most of my friends have families, so they don't play 4 hours a day.
I've moved on to Halo 2 on my XBox, but UT 2004 Instagib is the greatest. There's a level where you are on a long asteroid type thing with two towers on each end. If you play on that level with gravity set low, and the ability to propel your teammates through shooting, you've got one of the greatest game types of any multiplayer FPS I've played.
Now think for a moment: Is possibly limiting your target audience going to do anything to help sales? Do you think the PG-13 rating is going to, overall, encourage MORE people to come or LESS people to come? Being that there are people out there who will not let their children see PG-13 movies, do you think that this somehow is going to increase the number of people who see the movie? Perhaps it will, who knows. But more than likely, this can only hurt sales, not increase them.
Pointing out individual movies that have a PG-13 or more restrictive rating that have done well does nothing to help your argument. I didn't say that movies rated higher CAN'T do well, just that on average they don't do AS well. Now, it is quite possible that in the "cleaning" up of a movie, you might remove content that will depress sales, and in effect, end up hurting the overall sales. Especially on a movie like LOTR. But it's my opinion that if they had been able to get a PG rating on Spiderman (1 & 2), the movie would have made even more sales. I know plenty of people who didn't bring their children to them, even though their kids love Spiderman, because of the rating/content.
That's a good point. The ratings specify for R that children under 17 are not permitted, while parents are simply cautioned about inappropriate material for PG-13.
Of course, this is all still voluntary. There's no legal enforcement. However, I do know some movie theaters enforce the R rating (as I mentioned originally).
Actually, this will probably only hurt the sales. Most of the top movies for the year are rated PG. And, on average, PG movies make more money than R rated movies. I haven't heard the statistics for PG-13, but I'm guessing it would have the same negative effect an R rating has.
Also, I don't know of any theater that enforces the PG-13 rating. The AMC movie theaters do enforce the R rating though.
Then where's the chapter on "Making Macaroni and Cheese". Because, being a "hacker" means you like to "tinker". You could argue that "tinker" would include playing with tinker toys. Playing with tinker toys, obviously means you have children. Having children, would imply you are a father. Being a father occasionally entails having to cook meals for your kids.
"Playing Well With Others" will be most useful to gamers who are new to the MMORPG genre, but also to other multiplayer beginners. The major focus is on the MMORPG, perhaps the most confusing game genre around for new players. Besides the dictionary and playing tips previously mentioned, it also discusses online courtesy and etiquette, things which apply to any game you happen to play online.
What does this have to do with hacking at all? An introduction to playing MMORPG's has no place in this at all. And the fact that the reviewer says nothing about it probably reveals some of the bias he brought into his review.
Damnit, I LOVE Return of the Jedi. In fact, it is still my favorite of the original triology. So take THAT!
In fact, just to rub it in, I LOVED the Ewoks. Greatest alien race ever !

Slashdot declares imminent demise of Microsoft or one of their products. I don't know if I've ever seen such a thing.
Lucas so should have given him a lightbat instead of a lightsaber. That would have rocked.
You forgot kidnapping the Secretary of Defense and (basically) taking over the internet. ;-)

Well, perhaps us non-1337 players like to just have fun :-)
I still suck.

Gah, that's what I meant.
Someday I'll get this right.
Please reread my post and get back to me. Thanks.
I guess statisics can be used to prove any point. :-)
