One possible answer would be to prevent proprietary connectors. If hardware vendors could make some funky connector that required a custom cable to connect to HDMI, but still call it an HDMI cable, that would undermine the standard.
Didn't think it ever left. But then I used to dress in victorian garb and play croquet in Golden Gate park back in high-school. So I may just be weird.
But remember, we have to keep low trade tarifs and encourage off shore contracting because of "Globalization". Funny thing is we seem to be the only one doing this. Its like the saying, "what if we had a war and only one side showed up?".
My Dauphin DTR 1 back in the early 90's had a PS2 keyboard and mouse port. Windows 3.1 for pens did most of what everyones so impressed with on these new tablets. But back then it was geeky, now its hip.
Not everyone needs $20,000 a day. Average income in China for example is only a couple thousand dollars US. Costs are lower over sea and profits can be lower while still maintaining financial feasibility.
The word is "off", not "of". But other then that I have to wonder how much of this is a technical issue. As far as I can tell the Android market has no real system in place for insuring that an app gets removed prior to a refund being issued. Which would more or less make paid apps "free" if they where forced to allow refunds. Bit of a PITA and something I hope Google addresses soon.
The counter argument is that children dont have the same rights as adults. That being said, I have no issue with parents being required to make decisions as to which games they allow their kids to play, provided that information is out there for them to make an informed decision.
Hate to tell you this, but it is no longer the 90's. There are way more people out there after the same job who will sign anything if it means a paycheck.
I purchased a house. I read everything I was asked to sign. Yes it took time, but the responsibility of understanding what you sign is on you and not the contract issuer. "I didn't read it" is not a defense that will often stand up in court, so actuly spending a little time reading is your best bet. And given the amount of money involved in a job or house, why wouldn't you be willing to spend the time?
Depends on which platform I guess. For example, going back to the BeOS Objective-C making a window was just MyWindow = new BeWindow();. On other platforms it can be more complex. But in general I do find that Objective-C is approachable with the right tools. But Android or Flex would be better to get started with.
Off the top of my head, three languages and platforms with which one can quickly produce GUI based apps. Android's Java is very approchable and you can do your "hello world" type app in a few lines of code. Likewise, Flex (aka Flash for apps) is for lack of a better word, flexible and lets you use a nice combination of Actionscript and XML to build apps quickly. And finally, Objective-C is very user friendly and can be found bundled with OSX or you can get a copy of Borlands C++ Builder.
If you only have 50$, you buy a 50$ microwave that only lasts a couple years. People cant afford high quality merchandise anymore. And the low cost items will still be made over seas so long as we have such stupidly low trade tariffs.
Effective range is for what users MAY do, not what they DO do. Just because I only drive 40 miles a day 99 out 100 days doesn't mean I dont want to drive 400 miles on that 100th day.

I cant really think of any conditions under which that would be "useable". Speed of light limitations and all of that.

I bet they could have gotten away with just a regular plastic bag.

Because the US offers better protection for when Microsoft CopyOfYourSoftware(tm) is released.

Web MD is next for practicing medicine without a license. Or, the whole thing is insane. Cant think of a third option.

Guess you should have finished reading then. Ah well, ignorance is bliss, right?

Yes, cause all them kids are screaming for GOTO commands and would HATE to make flash and android apps.
All three examples I listed are very beginner friendly yet let you build actual apps you can run on hardware and systems made this decade.

Why would a power supply supporting up to 240 watts even though your device only needs 10 cost more? Oh wait...
Which pirates? The ones with raid systems full of MP3s or my mother who downloaded a couple CDs from "free" music sites?
So if I print out some "money", you would defend my right to try and buy groceries with it?
I dont really mind tiered pricing, but I do mind having my data plan change without options. So guess I'll be moving on to another carrier.

But a sports team LOST! What is the suffering of a few people in the face of such injustice!
It has to do with the US dollar being backed by the US GNP and Bitcoin being backed by the equivalent of pink elephants.
