One possible answer would be to prevent proprietary connectors. If hardware vendors could make some funky connector that required a custom cable to connect to HDMI, but still call it an HDMI cable, that would undermine the standard.

The word is "off", not "of". But other then that I have to wonder how much of this is a technical issue. As far as I can tell the Android market has no real system in place for insuring that an app gets removed prior to a refund being issued. Which would more or less make paid apps "free" if they where forced to allow refunds. Bit of a PITA and something I hope Google addresses soon.

I purchased a house. I read everything I was asked to sign. Yes it took time, but the responsibility of understanding what you sign is on you and not the contract issuer. "I didn't read it" is not a defense that will often stand up in court, so actuly spending a little time reading is your best bet. And given the amount of money involved in a job or house, why wouldn't you be willing to spend the time?

Likewise, Flex (aka Flash for apps) is for lack of a better word, flexible and lets you use a nice combination of Actionscript and XML to build apps quickly. And finally, Objective-C is very user friendly and can be found bundled with OSX or you can get a copy of Borlands C++ Builder.
