    Lenovo carries on the IBM tradition of multiple dock options.
    I believe the T-series luxo-dock even has a PCI slot, and another pair of cardbus slots.

    There's desktop versions of the thinkpad keyboard, with trackpoint, with or without numberpad.

    It worked great for Compuserve and AOL. Monthly rate, then metered rate, metered rate+ if you wanted to play something.

    The ones I've seen that aren't HDD have been DVD-RAM. Really, DVD-RAM would make a great replacement for VHS tape, it's a much, much better choice than DVD+/-RW. Too bad it never caught big in the states, double too bad it's now caddieless.

    I hated the concept too, but for different reasons, which have all come to pass-
    The real poison of the generation of connected consoles is the release of unfinished games and witheld content. A lot of people played consoles because they didn't want the headache of PC gaming, now it's just as bad or worse.

    Now everybody but DS gamers gets to enjoy bugpatches and micropaymeOHSHI~

    I doubt big multicore chips will be cheap enough for the Xbox 3, but win7 probably won't be released in time for it anyway.

    This isn't for Aero on GMAs. This is so you can target both Xbox4 and Win7/GFW without even bothering to think.
    One set-top box, one platform. They've had a hard-on for it for a decade+, it's coming.

    Regulation is getting ridiculous. In my area isopropanol above 70% is behind the counter.
    I can't even buy goddamn pseudoephedrine without showing ID now. Not to mention the price has been jacked and there's a buying limit. Phenylephrine doesn't have the same method of action, doesn't work at all on me.

    That's one of the things that makes our country a great place to live. We can actually make choices, and people with the drive to prosper can keep making (and I agree with you, I HATE the sports bar mentality, the TVs, etc) places the people want to go to.

    You'd be surprised. I've got couga^Wmiddle-aged lady friends who know about and use R4s, and there's folks who sell mod services in projects and on craigslist. It's not like the 360 is particularly difficult to mod.

    Console piracy has to have surpassed PC piracy just from the shear install-base numbers.
    FO3 was just leaked... guess which version~

    I can't speak for video, but I know the best external audio interfaces are firewire.
    Even with USB2, you can't get the track counts (especially at high bit/sampling rates) OR the latencies that you can with firewire.

    Firewire->USB wouldn't work. You could probably do it, but all the advantages would be lost. No DMA, no device to device communication, etc.

    I've got the cheaper non-vga axim and if they released something with similar specs in a clamshell+VGA (think HPLX), it'd be most of the way there for me. I suppose the pandora is going to be the closest I get for a while, but it's not something I'd be picking up on the first production run. (Assuming it's not the only~)

    I've got a family member of a friend who works at irrational, so I wasn't expecting much of either version.
    At this point, I'm not sure what's more depressing, how bioshock turned out or the fact that EA is fairly likely to make a SS3.

    The 360 version is the definitive version. Without even mentioning DRM, the PC port is embarrassingly poor.
