They make up numbers of boots and other good produced just to appese the peopel into thinking they've got it good, they erase the past and have a "Telescreen" or video camera in every persons flat/home. This is not too incredibly far off from what is being attempted in the US.

    Do you know that Japan has 750 members in their "Diet" or House of Reps.We have only around 300 to represent 'Free' Americans.

    They made up that number so that they could have room to fund their secret operations for the next twenty years.

    I dont agree with any sort of government spending that doesn't involve building a better country.A FREEER Country.

    I hate the idea of having to go to just one company to buy products for any computer.

    Mac and Sun have this market dominated.I believe that keyboards and other such things should never get this way.Because..if you break the keyboard..then your screwed..because unless the CD Rom is detachable or something..it would suck..$200 keyboards??

    Now here is a better idea:
    Start putting USB ports and other ports on the side..and then just have the back be like a door..and you open it and you can mount your drives and shit back there..I know its impracticle..but I just figured I might as well come up with a shitty idea considering everyone else has....right?

    Things need to stay pretty much the same for about 2 more years before they make any more huge changes.I may be just another monkey,but I have opinions of my own.

    Hmm...
    Dont be a fucking retard.Lets just say there are some people in Belgium who are out of the DSL/Cable/All other high speed networking options next to satelite range.

    They need Lin compatible modems pre-installed with Kppp or antoher ppp prog ready to run.These people arent going to be techies although introducing Linux first will give the least resistance and make them think that, that is the way it is supposed to be.

    Installing a modem in any distro is a bitch.This comes from much experience.

    Mandrake rules.Debian was made by some retarded little boy who had nothing better to do, due to his terminal illness or something.

    Mandrake was created by a great group of expierenced profesional programmers. It is also arguably the easiest Distro in the world.

    You could train them to drive a car without a steering wheel,using some other form of steering.

    If you take a person who has never used a computer before.

    You can teach them to use any OS and it would not seem foreign to them.

    If she has to make her government pay for every copy of nearly any windows OS, then they will end up paying in the billions!I know that for the US this is not a big deal.But this is a smaller country we are talking about!!

    I recomend that they fuck belgiums mind by making them use a different kind of OS.Linux.I mean if their going to control their minds, then they should probably go with windows since it has a reputation of doing such things.

    Solaris is an OS to be commended for even having support of the x86.If you want the full experience then buy a goddamn SUN Box.Don't continue to bitch them out just because they need money to run their buisness.

    In order to compete with M$, they will have to use some dirty tactics.As long as I can still download Star Office for UNDER 100MEGS.Then I am happy that I dont have to use M$ Office or some other crappy alternative.

    Shut your mouth.BeOS was a good OS, the fact that they could fit an entire OS in under 50 megs was seemingly incredible to me.It was totally original and ran on its own core, NOT UNIX OR DOS.You should give it credit for that.The fact that nobody was willing to shell out a little money to keep it a live is the pitiful part!

    Further more,as I will post after I read the rest of the comments, SUN has every right to make their own software propiaratory..i know I spelled it wrong..im having a bad day and can't remember..anyway..they have this right because they give alot of their stuff away for free.Is it really too much to ask to have them want to buy a box when you want their OS?I mean look at the MACs..nobody complains about them..

    Well what it comes down to is basically users deciding whether or not they care about the well being of the company who's software their pirating.

    When I start destributing my progz, they wont cost anything to download and a small fee to ship. Much like the GNU-License agreement. This is the way I believe it should be. I dont think that I should make a fucking lucrative profit from writing a few thousand lines of fucking code.

    Should I force my morals onto others? Nah..but should the government get back to its ONE AND ONLY required job: Protecting the citizens.

    That is all our government is supposed to do, but yet they spend all of our taxes on looking in on us. The only way this country will really change is if we get a big revolution. But until then, the best thing us hackers/free thinkers can do is vote for our local and national liberatarian reps.
