Personally.. I like cables for hooking up video. Wireless is buggy, snoopable, power hungry, and hard to set up (with 4 transmitters and 4 receivers, how to you configure what displays where?) Cables, while bulky and sometimes annoying have an incredibly easy UI. Plug one end here, the other end there, the things are connected. Want to change it? plug the wire in somewhere else. And until they can beam the power, it's doesn't get rid of the need for wires anyway.

Well, here's the key... I use internet and SD TV. No phone. No cable box. SD TV is 25 years old so it's difficult to mess up and like I said, my internet connection is probably less than 3 miles from their offices. I wasn't trying to stand up for them so much as to say if you keep it simple you might be ok.

They cannot change their borders if they like now? The Soviet Union broke up with a minimum of bloodshed.

All the same, nearly 50 years since the end of the colonial era, is it time perhaps for us to stop blaming the trauma of that encounter for all our problems? Who truly is to blame for this? All too often, Africans see themselves mirrored in the eyes of the west - of those rich former colonial powers who like to regard Africans only as victims. And, all too often, Africans become the distorted images reflected in these mirrors. And so how Africans see themselves is the fault of how someone else sees them?
