You do not want to use a solderless modchip, they suffer from the same problem they did back in the Playstation days: They WILL eventually get bumped out of where they need to be. Then you need to shut everything down, open up your Xbox, realign all of the points, and close it again. It is well worth the price to get an installer to install a soldered modchip. You can find installers at the forums on xbox-scene.com

I've purchased 10 albums due to file sharing

The File Sharing Report
·
· Score: 3, Interesting
I almost never purchased music before file sharing--in a typical year I would buy one album (and that was because I would get a gift certificate to a music store on Christmas.) Because of filesharing, I was up to trying out allofmp3.com when I heard about it--and since then I've purchased 10 albums in the last few months.
NetRatings, based in New York and Milpitas, Calif., used a panel of 50,000 participants selected through calls to randomly generated phone numbers.
I recently got broadband a few months ago. Before that I was on dialup and only had one phoneline. Had they tried to call me for this survey, they would have gotten a busy signal.
I wonder how many dialup users were not interviewed because of this.
How did this even get posted? It's obviously complete satire. Click here to see all of the websites that link to this...they're all TECH HUMOR.
If humor was the intended goal, it'd be responsible to make note of that in the summary. Please correct this in the dupe.
No, it's a lottery on whether the merchant gets PAID or not. However, the assumption is that even if he doesn't get paid on your transaction, he'll get paid enough next time to make up for it.
I don't know how you got +1 Insightful: they got DDoS'd before they restricted file trading. The log as to what happened right before the DDoS started is here.
It's a good idea to punish the submitters and not the editors (since we obviously know when something's a dupe within seconds of it posting), but often difficult to find out who actually submitted the article (in this instance:)
The user you requested does not exist, no matter how much you wish this might be the case.
Why don't we all band together, and whenever a user submits a dupe we all add them to our 'foes' list? Doesn't directly stop anyone from posting repeats, but if I knew that submitting one could get me hundreds of foes, I'd probably check my submissions for duplicates.
Actually, you could use nicotine patches. Nicotine is a stimulant, and when you first start using the patches, you can really tell. When I first started using patches to quit smoking, I was racing around and away much later than usual, but always full of energy. I stopped taking them abruptly one day, and I crashed, just like what happens after any other stimulant binge.
Is this what./'ers need during those long coding sessions.
This may have been said jokingly, but it definately isn't what we need. Not only do TNDS' not give you a delicious taste in your mouth, they don't tell your body that you are full either. If we want fatter geeks, this is the way to go. Otherwise, I'll just stick to my perishable food.
VDR released an update to their first version to fix problems. Which is better: releasing an update the day the product comes out, or releasing the update later? Either way, the first version of both programs had bugs, and they got fixed. I'm not aware of any programs that were perfect on their first release.
Could it lead to a fax machine for complete living organisms?
No.
It's hard to explain, but believe me...it will still play Xbox games. I've been in the Xbox hacking scene for 2-3 years.

Yes, I have an 80GB drive in mine. Seagate drives are popular due to their compatibility and quietness.
You can play Xbox games on it? Oh, and it's cheaper.

A bit can only contain one base-2 value (either a 0 or a 1). It is short for Binary Digit.

Well, in cases like this, we Slashdot the user!

Does it know how to mix a Slashdotting, on the rocks?

1. Lose profit!
2. 'Tune' Sendmail
3. ????
I noticed my mistake seconds after posting it, but as there is no "edit" feature (for good reason) in Slashdot, there was nothing I could do.
Buried in the middle of the paragraph, HERE is his question:
I'm curious as to how viable you think this system is and if you have any ideas for improvement.
It seems so eerily familiar.
I thought the same thing, Hemos, but it actually isn't a dupe.
Nooo! I've been looking for one of these for six years. Oh well, I'll hit up eBay again.
In this light, how do we interpret the result for Smalltalk?
The same way we interpret CmdrTaco...very carefully.
This was a very unscientifically performed study. Job availability for scheme included entries such as:
