Speed is SO NOT the key issue anymore. Netbooks prove this
Netbooks prove the opposite. Throwing hardware at the problem isn't a solution anymore. No one in their right mind is going to run an office suite on a netbook. The browser is the one place where speed and lightweight memory usage *has* been important. That's why netbooks pretty much run browsers and that's it.
I've recorded a re-run of a show for you, rather than the first-run show that you entered after other one. I never mentioned the conflict because they didn't when you first entered them.
You know that when you set up the season pass you can select "First Run Only" and that "Repeats and First Run" is selected by default?
Plus, TiVo resolves conflicts by using the order of the season passes in the season pass manager. If you don't want TiVo to ever miss Lost, move it to the top of the list.
It doesn't really break the model. The address bar, forward and back buttons all change depending on the tab currently selected.. only makes sense to put them inside the tab content area.
I said "dim" I meant about 2/3 the max light when not warmed up, so it's not that bad, but still annoying when I want my garage lit up really well and I have to wait 5 minutes before it doesn't look dim in there
Something tells me that it's 100% on, and the 5 minutes you're waiting is just your eyes adjusting.
The thing about Linux is that nearly every netbook maker is developing a custom Linux distro that removes the cruft and makes it run faster.
How much more does it cost to provide a built in optical drive in that Air?
I'm typing this on an HP Pavilion 6000dv. No oval plug here.

And what new hardware features are being added to the touch? Copy/Paste isn't a hardware feature.
Why would it require a significant redesign? Why is it that HTC can design a phone to take either a GSM or a CDMA radio, but Apple can't?
I thought it was AsphaltLand. ..and anyone who refers to Tucson as "The Old Pueblo" is a tool.
It's 100% if you include water vapor in the air.

True, but SG1 went on for 10 seasons... and SciFi funded 2 movies, and there's still another StarGate spin off coming.
Maybe you should get a TiVo then... I never have it record the wrong thing.
No, you'll just see the same 2 people posting over and over again. d3ac0n has 10 redundant posts on this story all complaining about the awesomebar.
Or you can just right click on the tabbar and select "Undo close tab".
Or a 3rd thing.
If the first byte has its high bit set, then there is another byte following that contains the next 7 bits of the length.
So a string that's 80 bytes long would have 0x50 as its length byte, and that's the end of it.. 1 byte.
A string that's 280 bytes long would have 0x98 as its first byte, and 0x02 as its second... 2 byte length field.
It should be filled with DAT.F #0,#0
Classic Macs had a toolbox in ROM.. really nothing more than BIOS plus some QuickDraw routines.
It's a far cry from the "OS". At least Apple IIs had BASIC and the Monitor in ROM so you could actually use them sans-disk.
I'm having trouble figuring out how you're using hulu without a flash plugin.

It also kills all but the newest version of xcode.
Yes, but if you look at the photos.. the battery *is* in a neat removable package. It's in a hard plastic shell, stuffed inside the laptop.
Sales numbers don't prove fun. You might as well be arguing that Brittney Spears is a great singer because she sells so many albums.
GTA sold the amount it did on name alone.

I'd think AOL cds would make horrible coasters. They're too slick.. they'd stick to the bottom of any drink that needed a coaster.
Vista came out Jan 2007. This laptop was purchased May 2007. Close enough to say "yes" to that.
Hell, I'm running Vista just fine on a $600 laptop. The laptop came with Vista and it runs great.
It's a Mobile AMD Sempron 3500+ with 1.5 gigs of ram.. and I bought it well over a year ago.
