A coworker was refreshing a PC for a user noticed a large set of image files being transferred with peculiar filenames. He notified manager, manager notified security and security took a look. Both the old and new computers were confiscated for having child porn. The user freaked out because he wanted his old PC back, refused to accept a new PC or loaner laptop, and went chasing after IT techs up and down the hallway. The IT department was under lockdown for three days until HR stepped in to fire the guy. The funny thing is that he had six weeks of notifications that his old PC was slated for replacement.

Remember my "how to pronounce the latest iPhone names" video? It has 628 minutes of watch time. Why? It got watch time after Apple announced the new iPhones six weeks ago, the iPhone XS and XS Max went on pre-order and sale last month, and the iPhone XR went on pre-order last week and became available yesterday. It will get watch time every time there is a new release of an iPhone. The original "how to pronounce the iPhone" video from 2007 still gets watch time.

  15. This is probably the same AC who called me a pedophile for posting a video of a children band from an art and wine festival and probably posted the URL on 8Chan. That video got 25 hours of watch time with 95% of the views coming from outside the United States and the top three countries (Ukraine, Brazil and Colombia) are known sex tourist destinations. YouTube creator support is still investigating that situation.

Sex trafficking is a serious problem that no one wants to talk about. There are some Silicon Valley engineers and ex-military men who will save up their money, retire to a foreign country, and a marry a "sweet young thing" (presumably 16 years old) with the village's permission. However, you don't have to go to a foreign country to marry a child because 27 states in the United States allow child marriages.

We as a society need to outlaw child marriages. Anyone who argues against outlawing child marriages is probably a pedophile.

  16. This is the same AC who argues that knowing that 27 states in the United States have child marriage laws that could permit a legal marriage between a child as young as 11-years-old and a much older adult makes you a pedophile.

When New Jersey passed a bill to outlaw marriages under the age of 18, the Republican governor vetoed the bill for infringing on religious freedom.

A high profile Republican governor has declined to sign into law, a measure that would have made his state the first to ban child marriage without exception. Chris Christie, the governor of New Jersey and someone who has been a staunch supporter of Donald Trump, said such a ban would conflict with religious customs. He did not specify what religions he was referring to. Reuters said underage marriage is widespread in the US, where about 170,000 children were wed between 2000 and 2010 in 38 of the 50 states where data was available.
