Try it. Find a grocery store that will sell you only 2 eggs. Try to buy a single slice of cheese, or sausage patty. Can you get only 3 hotcakes and a small amount of maple syrup for only one serving? Now, can you get all these things at ONE LOCATION? (Your mom's kitchen doesn't count!)
The Dollar stores also sell adequate quality things cheaply. Do you need to buy a $12 tape dispenser at Staples, or will the $1 one at Dollar Tree be adequate?
Exactly. All the police know how to do anything is to threaten with arrest: "Your posting of checkpoints MAY BE BREAKING THE LAW! OMG!"
But what the hell does Google care? Aren't they legally based overseas? So they can avoid the local arm of the law?
Google is a FOR-PROFIT company. They care about REVENUE! The NYPD should find a way where posting checkpoints hurts Google's bottom line, not threaten them with arrest since they really can't anyway.
You're both wrong. It's the constant switching between using a mouse and using a keyboard for the same task that is the productivity killer. If you're writing a book, and are mostly typing into a word processor, switching between typing and mousing to select text and change formatting is what slows you down. Of course you don't want to use a keyboard for a drawing program: That's what a mouse would be best for.
When your cellphone cannot reach a cell tower, it turns up the gain on the radio to try to make contact. Maybe there is a similar effect with the lidar. Since it was at CES (I don't know if it was indoor or outdoor), maybe the crowd or enclosed space was way too different from what the vehicle was expecting, and was unable to get a solid image. Turning up the gain on the laser may have been some kind of built-in compensation.
Last year, he stayed away because of death threats. This year, he heard that he would have to face FTC Commissioner Rebecca Slaughter. I don't think that coffee cup of his is big enough for him to hide in...
Today, I just opened my second tube of Krazy Glue (in the green cylinder) that I got from Dollar Tree. Like the first one, it was ROCK SOLID before I even opened it. It's the "name brand" glue, but I don't know what they did to it to make it cure INSIDE the tube. I suggest you stay away from it.
It would be interesting to find out the exact reason that they decided to backtrack. Was it because of the sudden increase in support calls? Was it because their forum almost crashed because everyone was posting about how this sucks? Was it because of a deluge of lawsuits to their legal department?
If we can find out what made Logitech come to their senses, maybe it can be done with other tone-deaf companies.
This is not unexpected. How long do you think a toy like that will last with a sealed-in battery that cannot be replaced without cutting the plastic? Sure, they're collectable, but the value diminished when you find out that they no longer work, and will NEVER work again.
What/Who is Redis, what do they do, and why should we care?
It sounds like youtube could use some sort of moderation system....
People who professionally assemble computers DO NOT use a Swiss Army knife as a screwdriver. You know what they use? An actual screwdriver.
I often wonder if she is *REALLY* a cyborg, though...
Posting on YouTube.

Well, now I *KNOW* it's not a 90's web page. I would have had to wait 5 minutes to see a blank page over dial-up!
I would like to see how your pages render when you do that.

Firewalls aren't made of fire. They protect AGAINST fire.

I can print it to a PDF...
Can a minor actually legally agree to a TOS? Don't legally binding documents need the approval of a parent or guardian?
"while everyone just uses self-driving cars to get delivery of hookers and blow."
Boober?

...But during the holiday season, it wears a nice Santa hat!
My Faraday cage says it won't.
Who is going to activate that 4G chip? On what carrier? Who is paying for the service plan? Who pays for unexpected data cap breeches?
They'll just use VPNs.

I give you the Birck Nanotechnology center!
"What is this? A center for ANTS?!"
