    2) AT&T somehow busts me (i.e. they decrypt and analyze my shit at layer 7)
    3) I can sue their asses for violating DMCA or whatever right?

    The beneficiaries of the fraud are most likely the cause of the fraud

    Stop rewarding them / cut them off - i.e. add a section to the contract that stops payment to companies who engage in this kind of scam

    Whats the simplest down and dirty way of detecting a worm infection?

    Assuming the worm is smart and disables any/all preventative measures on the host system - can one observe certain network activity behavior that would give the worm away?

    I am hoping that they are including Fax spam when they mean "Spam"

    This seems to be the biggest driver for fax spammers - the old pump-n-dump

    Its popular with them because they don't have to ID themselves with a real callback number(s) - they don't want any calls they just want you to bid up that stock.

    I am also hoping that they use this as a means for trapping and busting spammers (both email and fax)

    Shouldn't the SEC (or whatever) be able to look at all the perfectly timed trades on the victim stock and track down who they were?

    Good idea - didn't think of that -

    X10 had promised to be so cool too - I hooked it up and it refused to work with my CFL lamps

    X10 told me no dice - CFLs screw with the singaling used by X10

    I'm guessing that X10 will work to lobby against this law

    CFL's can wreak havoc on electronic control systems - i.e. X10 etc

    I have a digital timer that loses it's mind controlling CFL's - I've replaced many times

    I've heard something about CFLs disrupting anything more complicated than a single pole switch

    Load VM Ware on the latest/greatest G4 HP Proliant box - running Quad Xeon's and like 8GB of RAM then just for kicks - in a VMWare session install and then run Windows 3.1!

    Anyone who can remmeber this dark age of computing - and can remember how long that POS OS took to load will get a huge kick out watching it run like this.

    You say go and BAM! Instant Windows 3.1 - You won't even see that stupid flash screen it used to load

    When ID Software introduced the deathmatch as optional way to play the game - it was huge.

    No tricks. No unlocks. No hidden keys.

    Just grab a weapon and shoot anything that moves - simple.

    And then when the game modifiers went nuts it just got fucking hilarious. If you ever get a chance to play the "Mr. Pants Excessive" modification for Q3A - don't pass it up. Body parts and blood flying everywhere. It's very therapeutic.
