1) If I share an illegal copy of a movie using an encrypted p2p service 2) AT&T somehow busts me (i.e. they decrypt and analyze my shit at layer 7) 3) I can sue their asses for violating DMCA or whatever right?
I'm trying to see their groovy new website - I can't WAIT to learn all the cool new ways I can help to fight piracy! Gee i know that website is gonna be swell........ but the website still just doesn't work -
All I do is hit "refresh" over and over and over and over

Whats the simplest down and dirty way of detecting a worm infection?
Assuming the worm is smart and disables any/all preventative measures on the host system - can one observe certain network activity behavior that would give the worm away?
I am hoping that they are including Fax spam when they mean "Spam"
This seems to be the biggest driver for fax spammers - the old pump-n-dump
Its popular with them because they don't have to ID themselves with a real callback number(s) - they don't want any calls they just want you to bid up that stock.
I am also hoping that they use this as a means for trapping and busting spammers (both email and fax)
Shouldn't the SEC (or whatever) be able to look at all the perfectly timed trades on the victim stock and track down who they were?
Load VM Ware on the latest/greatest G4 HP Proliant box - running Quad Xeon's and like 8GB of RAM then just for kicks - in a VMWare session install and then run Windows 3.1!
Anyone who can remmeber this dark age of computing - and can remember how long that POS OS took to load will get a huge kick out watching it run like this.
You say go and BAM! Instant Windows 3.1 - You won't even see that stupid flash screen it used to load
When ID Software introduced the deathmatch as optional way to play the game - it was huge.
No tricks. No unlocks. No hidden keys.
Just grab a weapon and shoot anything that moves - simple.
And then when the game modifiers went nuts it just got fucking hilarious. If you ever get a chance to play the "Mr. Pants Excessive" modification for Q3A - don't pass it up. Body parts and blood flying everywhere. It's very therapeutic.
Stuff that ..... oh never mind ...
Isn't this how Homer's brother got to be rich again?

I finally gave up trying to build a "quiet" desktop - I replaced my desktop with a laptop - just because the freaking thing is quiet

What am I gonna do without ping? or Angry IP scanner?
Great idea, but
If you dump them into a hold queue, they will burn one of your PRI channels doing it
I would transfer them off to an 800 number or better yet - back to themselves!
I've sold municipal wi-fi to Brockway, Ogdenville, and North Haverbrook, and by gum, it put them on the map!
Isn't this easily solved?
The beneficiaries of the fraud are most likely the cause of the fraud
Stop rewarding them / cut them off - i.e. add a section to the contract that stops payment to companies who engage in this kind of scam
Isn't this a dupe?
... not enough of you are beta testing Vista and they need more

Easy - they will give the indie labels plenty of air time ....
Sunday morning around 2am-ish
.... well you can kiss Redmond, WA goodbye ;)
Good idea - didn't think of that -
X10 had promised to be so cool too - I hooked it up and it refused to work with my CFL lamps
X10 told me no dice - CFLs screw with the singaling used by X10
I'm guessing that X10 will work to lobby against this law
CFL's can wreak havoc on electronic control systems - i.e. X10 etc
I have a digital timer that loses it's mind controlling CFL's - I've replaced many times
I've heard something about CFLs disrupting anything more complicated than a single pole switch
We all way's here about the EVIL religious right and they're dastardly deeds ... never a thing about the secular left ...
Any time I see that term - I smell bias and ignore the rest of whats said.
Doesn't DVDShrink solve that problem? ;)

Passports fit nicely into microwave ovens! Problem solved.
