Wrong.. "multiplier" is the misnomer. It should indeed be called a crop factor. Search around on google..
The camera doesn't magically convert/multiply a 100mm lens into a 160mm lens (on a 1.6 crop factor camera) -- the lens is the same, the sensor is smaller.
Across different cameras, the lens is still projecting the same image based on whatever lens size, but depending on the size of the sensor, not all of it is getting captured (i.e. some of the full image is being cropped out)..
If you squeeze 50 megapixels on a 5mm CMOS, there's still gonna be a crop factor because the 5mm CMOS is a lot smaller than the film negatives these lenses were originally intended for..
I guess the joke flew over your geekling heads.. The original story said something about EXOplanets -- get it? INDOplanets? Snoop dog? Marijuana? No humor..
My very educated mother just served us nine pizzas. -- Call me Ishmael. Some years ago- never mind how long precisely- having little or no money in my purse, and nothing particular to interest me on shore, I thought I would sail about a little and see the watery part of the world. It is a way I have of driving off the spleen and regulating the circulation. Whenever I find myself growing grim about the mouth; whenever it is a damp, drizzly November in my soul; whenever I find myself involuntarily pausing before coffin warehouses, and bringing up the rear of every funeral I meet; and especially whenever my hypos get such an upper hand of me, that it requires a strong moral principle to prevent me from deliberately stepping into the street, and methodically knocking people's hats off- then, I account it high time to get to sea as soon as I can. This is my substitute for pistol and ball. With a philosophical flourish Cato throws himself upon his sword; I quietly take to the ship. There is nothing surprising in this. If they but knew it, almost all men in their degree, some time or other, cherish very nearly the same feelings towards the ocean with me
After reading 419eater.com, I started a conversation with my guy Dr. Abel Tamboki and played back and forth with him for about a month.
It's a lot of fun to dick around with them. They'll believe anything and do anything for you as long as you seem somewhat serious about the "transaction". Got my own pic of him (doing something stupid) too!
Maxim/Stuff/Blender/FHM can be regularly be gotten for free. Look on slickdeals.net from time to time -- they post the offers there. I got subs to all of them that dont expire until 2009 (every time a free offer comes around, you can tack it on to your current subscription).
I had a T600 for about a month. Quite a cool device. Had all kinds of stuff packed into it - plus the phone quality was excellent, and the internet speeds were very good.
Problem was with the contacts list -- every time I tried to pull up an email address from the list, the thing would reboot. Returned it (after trying 4 or 5 others)..
Give em another 2 years or so and these things (and their competitors) will rock.
What's wrong with you people
Look here: http://www.attwireless.com/personal/products/phone s.jhtml.. Plenty of boring phones there. Pretty much every carrier has a few of those low low end Nokias. What's the problem?
Damn you phone playa haters. We're supposed to be all for cool new technology.
Is Al Qaida really capable of a full blown WTC game, or do you think it would just maybe be like a HalfLife "mod" or something?

Wow, we have an aristocrat among us! Mod this fine chap up.
Typically techno-geeks like us research stuff like that before making a purchase. Give it a try!
