I completely agree. I HATE automatics.. . cars will never be 100% capable of "knowing" when I want to shift.
I suppose when yer old and gray and all you care about is getting there it doesn't matter..but I enjoy driving. . I treat everything like a challenge..I'm not an aggressive fucktard that rides the asses of everyone else, but alone on a windy road and nice weather I have FUN in my 5-spd..PERIOD
what eats me is the fact that if the broadband suppliers and the RIAA and the MPAA got their act together and stopped trying to protect their market as-is we'd already have this. As a whole, we've wanted this for a long time. I'm not even just talking about geeks . ..my grandparents would MUCH rather get a movie on demand than drag themselves out to the video rental shop.. . .
How is this new? I've been getting 100% of my pr0n online now for almost 8 years!
Heck, I've even got my 51" tv hooked up to a computer for pr0n viewing, and for chrissake..I'm married. I can only imagine what you single guys are doing !!
this is rediculous. . . they get away with hitting us with tens of thousands of unwanted CRAP every day and now they can ddos one of the best solutions we currently have.
yeah..we spend all this money "making sure the voting system works". Why not give folks a $5 tax credit at income tax time if they get their arse out there and vote. Isn't that part of the voting system working?
Sure I can agree with that somewhat..even if you weren't serious (I couldn't tell), but I'd rather have congress voting on what the majority of the people want short term that what the highest-paying lobbyist says.
Gee thanks for the offtopic mod. Too bad it's right on topic. . it's all about the lobbyists pressure on lawmakers that keeps legistlature out there allowing the RIAA and debeers to keep their aging practices alive.
If only congress had a slashdot like moderation system and regular plain old "voting-age" folks could meta-moderate. .
It would take some of the "well I'm in office now so I can do whatever I want" fuhqtards outta the system. If they're not doing what WE want. . then why are they there?
I hear the movie industry is collaborating with SCO to claim they own the code the messaging companies are using on their servers. . so this should all blow over soon. . .
Personally, I think in the next 5 years we'll see a switch from paying for access and free content to free access, or incredibly CHEAP access and paid content.
The fact that the court date is in 2005 is to their advantage. They know the code could probably be replaced in 10 minutes if shown to the right people.
I wouldn't be surprised if their plan is to sue end users for their use of the software between now and 2005 when they really show us the code. .
And hey it might work. . bastards. .
all that xtra space and they didn't put a full-size number pad in.
That alone would probably sell more units in the business world. My dad always bitches about the lack of a number pad on his Dell (he's an ins. auditor)
Ever notice, the same people that picked on you in high school look up at you know?
Most of em are smart enuf to know their past is responsible for their present, and likewise with your present..which I don't have to mention usually kix the shit outta their life / wages.

I would think the change would make MORE sense in the firmware of the hardware, than the drivers.
Customizations of drivers for specific hardware almost ALWAYS lead to bloated drivers that cause compatibility issues with other devices.
your name, "anonymous" is a shitty one >:P
no wonder I'm soo unhappy!!! I forgot all about sex!!!

as part of the "returnin to school process" you hand out papers on how to update, a cd, and a number if you need help.
.BLAM $15 to the tech that comes to do it for them
if they ignore and connect their machine anyway.
You can only separate networks so much.
If you make them bear some financial responsibility for not checking their machines first this might help.
why are u looking here. .if you didn't laff yet the show's over. .now go away
blacklists might not be the best defense we have. .they sure aren't perfect. .but ddos'ing them is childish.
The fundamental problem is that SPAM WORKS.
What we need is soem silly grass-roots movement/boycott to get people to STOP doing business with companies that adverstise with UBE.
If spam didn't work, they wouldn't send it.

Maybe it's time for some vigilante justice.
Spammers HAVE to have a weaknes. .

the old addage, if it doesn't kill you it just makes you stronger could give a nice boost to linux when this IS all over. .
I can tell you who will be laughing then, and it won't be the MS and CO FUD dept.
