    i run 10.4.10 on a 466mHz g3 ibook (w/ dvd & firewire), a 366(dvd/fw) and a 300 with no dvd or firewire...perfectly usable for email & websurfing:-)

    i think the idiom u want is "psyched up";-) and i think there are valid reasons to shift the load to the client: sorting tables, 4 instance...it's silly to make another db query to retrieve the same data in a different order.

    are based on water bills: what goes in "must" go out...of course, watering your lawn doesn't add to the sewage load, but when has logic ever had any bearing on gummint policy?

    likewise, codes require that a/c condensate must be pumped outside, rather than simply drained, lest the sewage system be overloaded, oh my:-(

    i've used his http://stringtemplate.org/ in a webapp with pretty good results...even if stringtemplating is itself a form of programming, at least it keeps java out of html:-)
