I have to agree. I buy gas with my CC now so I dont have to empty my wallet. I make a concious effort to say "FUCK" when I spend the money just so it does not go by to easily since the price is incredible. Just trying to get the same feel I would when I do empty my wallet..

they have to try hard to disallow removing it. It also inserts menus, and for some reason wants the document changeing system toolbar up as well. It shifted my bars over and it just keeps popping back in. So its making my whole toolbar setup out of alignment.
Its annoying as all the damn icons piled on my desktop everytime i install an app.

My wife loves scrabble and we have played every version hasbro has released on CD. ABSOLUTELY ABYSMAL. Hasbro has managed to get an ok game but the network play is FUCKING ABSOLUTELY HORRENDUS. And thats putting it midly.
So eventually we found MS games website has scrabble for about a year. Then it went away. Then some other knock off site had it for another year. Then it went away. I think Hasbro released another crap CD. Then after about 2-3 years without online play, we found this one site which I will not mention for obvious reasons. She plays there happily, and I dont have to hear all her complaints about lag, and people disconnecting but not knowing for 15 minutes...
I guess if you can only make shit computer products, just sue anyone that manages to make a quality one.
I bet you each of these free scrabble sites Hasbro will shut down, will have created a game of 10x the quality of the Hasbro version, and will have done it for the the same cheap ass price Hasbro is probably paying, + love.

The VB DLL is mostly irrelevant to VB. VB is at its core just a wrapper around COM and any COM object available on the OS. So its not easier to work in VB than VC++ once you understand this fact. You just connect to the objects in a slightly different way. And you are limited
Point is, VB is only quick if what you need can be built by the COM+ (aka ActiveX) blocks on the system already.
Otherwise you are SOL if you try to write core logic in VB, or if any of the blocks have bugs in em cause you cant see the code or nothin...
Investors dont want the type of abuse and deceit that goes on in corporate board rooms. The ones profiting are the Heads of the companies. They just use "the investors" as a convient execuse to mask their immoral behavior.

Actually what you are calling a 'distributed' network is not what the internet is. a 'distributed' network has only 1 path from A to B. The internet has many. The internet is a blend between what you call 'distributed' and 'decentralized' networks. If this were not the case we would already be held hostage by 1 backbone provider or another.
Furthermore, p2p is layered on top of the internet and has nothing to do with the underlying physical and logical connections. p2p is nothing more than mutual client-server architecture. p2p is itself a 'use' of the internet.
