Overclocking for most is an achievement, not a result. Their are lots of issues and obstacles. That is part of the appeal. Solving those problems showing your skill.
Its not so much about extra FPS anymore.
I agree that tinkering has turned into case mods and quiet PCs as well. I do not overclock because the boost is now negligible for the effort, as you suggest. And in 6 months a processor will be cheap enough to buy a faster one and sell my old on on ebay anyway...
Of course. That is why one should replace his cartdridge when the cartridge wears out, not when the ink runs out. I don't buy for one minute that they happen at the same time. You can probably refill a cartridge about 10-15 times depending on the paper you use.
Yes, and how many times have we stated that invalidating the GPL gives SCO no license to distribute nor profit from the sale of Linux without violating several persons copyrights...
"Wherefore if thy hand or thy foot offend thee, cut them off, and cast them from thee..."
Yea, I prefer to give phone functionality to my PDA. I switched from a Palm to a Handspring Treo 180. Basically the same PDA, but adds phone. So they should be saying it the other way around.
well the Starcraft games were available for download rignt on the olympics site. i watched them. I was not impressed. Probably good players, but not very good matches.
Rhino is vector based I believe. Maya is probably triangle based. Rhino is for precision drawings meant for build or shops. Maya is for animation and character creation.
If you are looking for something inexpensive, try www.hash.com. I have used AnimationMaster for years and you will find it an awesome package that is only behind Maya and 3DSMax in name.
What is that GNU Icon? Looks like a guy with red shoes and a blue cape, with some kind of helmet on, with a bent beak on the helmet. And he is holding his cape back with his left hand, and holding his nuts with his right hand.
I have stared at this for over a year expecting the true shape to reveal itself to me eventually, but I can not see anything but what I described.
I wonder how much modification they did to the kernel. Perhaps the equipment in the tower only does switching and reading, but no translation? Linux not being a real time OS, I wouldn't expect it to handle communication that well. In fact just as poorly as any desktop computer handles data aquisition.
This is nice to hear. I'm resting a lot of my investment dollars in Linux!
I agree. Though its likely the parts they did not finish were security related and hacked together temporarily. And we all know what happens to hacks right? They usually get released. So they were all set to release with 'functioning' hacks. but now with the flaws exposed, they must actually do the code up front.
So I feel that it is possibel that the break in did delay the release, but only because they were already cheating so to speak.
It always happens when you cut corners, you end up with the short stick.
I bought several lexmarks because they were cheap. I won't be buying another one. Besides, I don't like their stupid fancy drivers. A driver should be a driver, not a whole application...
It explains the "big deal" as one would expect. And naturally it has nothing to do with making money by ripping off Linksys but other side projects from Seattlewireless and others. Lots of people buy these products and would like the ability to further develop them. By way of GPL, they also have the right to do so.
That's not too much to ask. We can call it the "QPL." And when they are licensed under the QPL, they can follow the QPL's requirements. Until then, let them abide by their licensing (GPL) obligations.
I though us slashdotters had resolved that as long as they were not shipping software, Linksys was not required to release any source. And the only party requored to release source was the party providing software ('firmware' to Linksys). And their source releasing obligation was only to Linksys.
So this is basically a method for "ghosting" a drive over the web?

A review is supposed to be done on a random sample anyway.
Consumer reports had the right idea, that is why they have been so successful.

No. SCO has no choice. They have accepted the investment money, and MS investments as well. Their corse is laid. They can not waver.
Just because they filed for Chapter 11 does not mean it will be granted.
OUTBOUND emails should _automatically_ have their recipient mail server added to the OK list.
And if your still skeptical record the email of the person that added it.

Too bad for Wallside Windows, screw Pella as well.
Perhaps they should temper that ruling with another ruling that says tradmarks can only be proper nouns, and may not be any other words.
The private credit system is basically sanctioned by the government. It uses SSNs.
Thats why I don't vote.

Correction. Not including Darl. He has not sold any stock.
Spring into existance? You should reread the poster you replied to's comment again. Tons of alternatives already exist.
Sure, if you use the tool exactly as described, then they can detect your usage, and charge you.
Its quite simply too easy to get around it. Try an ssh connection to some other box elsewhere. No way they can trace you.

Anyone care to expound on this strange icon?
I was thinking the same thing. Glad I read your post before I posted a duplicate.
I fully expect that unless the parents can show they are NOT using any cordless appliances or cellphones they will loose this case HARD.
Usually it takes research but they seem to be saying, stop just because. You could challenge the flouride in the water too...

Aren't we past security through obscurity by now? Or is that just applied to Microsoft.
