  1. DVD Backing up a necessity on DVD-Jon Completely Clear · · Score: 2, Interesting

My son likes to chew on my DVDs. So if I leave one in the player by mistake, and he happens to be around, he will play with the player, but eventually he gets around to putting 1 -2 bite marks on it.

He does not understand that he is hosing the DVDs. Thus, either I keep forking out $20 everytime he does this, or I go back to Video Tapes. I am certain DVDs are more profitable for the industry than tapes.

I have not bought any dvd backup system yet because they are so expensive but I plan to. I certainly hope they see that I need this and am not a thief. Unless they are willing to provide free replacements!?

About 10 years ago, every medical bill was always rejected by my insurance company, and I had to call them EVERY TIME to get them to accept it, and call the hospital to get them to resend it.

Fortunately after 3 years of tracking my credit union statements to the penny, I only found two mistakes and they were both from my handwriting where they thought a 3 was and 8 or vice versa and I lost/gained a nickel.

Perhaps I am somewhat of a socialist but whatever service the majority of the people use should be highly regulated by the government to do away with this kind of crap. OTOH, any control the government takes seems to just end up in the hands of lobbiests...
