    And just how are you going to cool that thing? Current laptop video is the best on the market for TV -out. Laptops are excellent at what they do.

    THey are not for gaming, and they most likely will not be in the near future as the current trend of improvements all involve increased heat generation.

    USPS is solid as a rock. I use them for all my mail. I thought they were more expensive that UPS though. So when I shipped my monitor I took it to ups thinking a big item like that I better go cheap on. $56. I am sad to read above that USPS is cheaper. USPS is everywhere. From now on its USPS exclusively.

    Plus the girls always have really nice thighs!

    I agree. Probably Hormel is smart and realizes that if this company trademarks Spam, then they will start suing other companies, and in turn reduce the overall use of the term.

    Probably Hormel realizes that people say Spam everyday, and invariably some will wonder what the term means, and how did it come to be so. Which is a free advertisement for Hormel. I wonder how much sales have increased over the last few years?

    He is right. Windows is pusing the technologies. Pushing them in the way they desire. nevertheless, they are. Linux has a long way to go for smooth MultiMedia usage.

    Nevertheless, he is only right for now. Linux is a locomotive, and its only picking up steam.

    Naturally. a 3rd Diablo would tarnish Blizzards name, but not VUs. So VU will ride the Blizzard name into the ground, using the name alone to extract sales. When finished, discard the company.

    Their objectives to not match. The only reason to allow the purchase is for the execs to make money, but essentially they sold out their employees in doing so. Now they will use the money from the purchase to start their own thing again.

    I expect many faithful employees to follow along. Its the right thing to do to offer them jobs.

    So very odd. All the qualities you site are things put in place by management. They loose some *serious* management clout, and you think it does not matter?

    Diablo2 was down from Diablo1. WC3 I have not even bought. Though I applaud the effort. I do not see them going up hill with their next title, especially after this.

    Programmers are not that hard to come by. People with vision are. Architects are. Good management is very hard to come by. Look how many solid but garbage games come out every day.

    Its not a redneck accent, its a southern accent. That is the accent employed on TV and in Movies for a racist person. Rarely will you see a show with a strongly racist person that does not use that accent. Lynchings are strongly associated with racism.

    Reality does not match the idea though.

    I agree. This was a quality article. Much moreso than the interview that came out of FSF earlier in the week. He hit the points and did a pretty good job of explaining it. His explanation of why GNUs not "the Linux Kernel" and the whole seperation of terms fit into the points he subsequently made. So it didnt sound like beating a dead horse.

    I think this will certainly put to rest any out there nervous about this case. Well, except IBM.

    For me that just makes no sense. http://www.amphony.com offers digital wireless line level connections 2.4GHz. I personally use advent wireless 800MHz speakers. Of course they are not the quality as if connected directly to the stereo (except the amphonys) but its awesome nonetheless.

    I assume they will be considerably higher quality that running computer speaker output wires 100' across the house...

    I reassert, go wireless.

    RFID chips are used as passive anti-theft devices in automobiles. The RFID tag is embedded in the key. The antenna is in the ignition switch.

    I dont believe so. On RedHat at least, you can not just run an attachment. If its a script it will let you know that. So you cant have a script masquerading as a zip file. The OS will ask if you want to display the files contents or run it.

    By the time you figure out how to use Linux, you won't fall for that.

    A Java application runs on the desktop, a Java applet runs in a browser. They are 2 different things.

    In any event, its still kind of silly to say Sun doomed Java because it sucked when it was MS that made it suck.

    Untrue because that version of java was self-squashed by definition. Recall that it purposely sucked.

    The proper remedy is to make an attempt to force MS to provide Sun with what they illegally took away. Market opportunity.

    wifi is better in rural areas than it is in highly populated cities. Its about the landscaping. Its easier to get the line of sight required in rural areas than it is in cities. Especially ones with lots of trees. So I expect wifi to do better in rural areas because it requires fewer transmitters because their is less interference.

    All schools have them AFAIK. Its not necessarily 1 per school. They have therapists as well. I think the americans with disabilities act would make schools have even more than that. But it could be a handful per school district or something like that.
