This reminds me of an advert that is big in the UK. An Osakan (judging by his accent)guy gets one of these robots, and leaves it to do the household chores. Comes home to find said robot drinking his beer and having a tryst with the vacuum cleaner and the microwave.

The I hear most current, popular music is when Honda Civics with bass tubes and rattling windows drive down my street. I'm not sure even the most discerning audiophile can tell the difference between SACD and a low-bitrate MP3 in this listening environment.
And the spoilers, bumpers and extra headlamps don't make the Civics go faster, either. Doesn't stop 'em buying them.
They don't need to. Check out this article , which says:
almost 70% of Gnutella users share no files, and nearly 50% of all responses are returned by the top 1% of sharing hosts
They just need to lower the profile slightly to crop out the major players.
Now - if we assume that the article is correct, what I have to ask is, why doesn't the RIAA start serving glitchy copies of their music as a superpeer? Given the low proportion of uploaders, they should find it easy to either flood a network with crap or at least incrase the search costs to the degree that people can't be bothered with using it. Like Gresham's law that bad money drives out good, or Akerlof's Lemons principle.
My understanding was that there was a tiered pricing. You can sign up for just a month, but that costs $20. You need to guarantee 3 months' payment to get the lower price, right?
I think this is supposed to be a reductio ad absurdum argument.......
Indeed it is. I think that the lawyers have their tongues firmly in their cheeks on this one. Shame so many of the readers appear to have their heads up their own arses instead.
What does IE 6 have that Mozilla lacks?
For me (and this is real pedantry), the google toolbar is the only thing which keeps me on IE. It's that 'highlight' button which, for a researcher is absolutely essential for making sense of the 'shape' of a document. and where everything fits, quickly. I wish to god they had this thing on Moz - Opera's own version is a little pants, since it only conducts the first search, and 'find in page' just can't cut it on a big document
and BOY did HE know how to fight dirty (something about being in the OSS and learning hand to hand there (grin)).
Open Source Software. Protects far more than just data, folks.

Gillette kind of have the drop on everyone, all the same. cheap handle, expensive blades. At it for years.
Probably had more to do with the proximity to 'XP' than to 'iPod.'
but I suspect when a gun doesn't work, which is probably rare, you can get somebody on the fone pretty quick to help you out
and when it does work, I believe that the number is 911. Response time less certain.
