HDCP is High-bandwidth Digital Content Protection, though TV's with DVI will support unencrypted information, as well. At least my HDCP/DVI equipped TV will support the output from my Geforce 4. :)

My TV will also upconvert signals from 480P/i to 540p and also 720p to 1080i. Upconversion sure seems to be legal.

  12. Re:Theory: Suck air over ice to chill air for fogg on Fun with Fog Generators · · Score: 1

Actually, the cool air that you are talking helps the fogger make the fog and is taken from outside air through the fog outlet. If you place the fog outlet of the fogger totally inside of the PVC tubing leading to the chiller, it won't have cool air to function right, it will only have the warm foggy air inside the tube.

The fogger works by creating a tunnel in the cooler through the ice that the fog is forced through where it chills. The force of new fog and the momentum of the fog itself pushes it out of the chiller and onto the ground.

I recently reread the first few books in the series. They read through in only a few short hours of reading, instead of the days of reading it initially took me. The story is very simple and there are really not that many "difficult-to-do" special effects. They are quite short, as well. I think that a modest budget and some good casting would end up providing a decent director all they needed to satisfy every Narnian fan's appetite.
