Let a psychologist evaluate him, and then either medicate the kid or let him go back to class.
Medicate? Are you serious?
Jesus no wonder the world is going to hell in a handbasket - the guy makes a videogame level and you want to pump himfull of chemicals that could screw up his brain chemistry for life.
LONDON, 1st May 2007 - Canonical and Dell are pleased to announce a partnership to offer Ubuntu 7.04 on select desktop and notebook products. This is a tremendous step forward for Ubuntu, our users and customers.
More about the announcement is available on the Dell website.
We believe that Dell's decision is a strong endorsement of Ubuntu and to the work of many in coding, translating and promoting open source software. It is also testament to the demand that exists for Ubuntu.
Canonical is honoured to play a leading role in making Linux more widely available to everyone.
Jane Silber
Canonical - Director of Operations
From the Google Earth article:
Nowadays, Noordeinde is Queen Beatrix's 'working palace'. The majestic Empire ballroom is the setting for receptions and concerts. The view on Google Earth has been scrambled for security reasons.
Exactly - and these are exactly the sort of people who should NOT be fed BETA-status software. All Ubuntu does by shoving this stuff out the door and hyping it is create people who will hate Linux for "not working". Erm, it's Compiz that is setup in Ubuntu by default and it is not turned on unless you go and click on it (there is also a nice big speil about it having the potential to cause problems).
If, like me, your a complete newb to Linux and decided to try Beryl, your first port of call may be the Ubuntu forums, in Absolute Beginner it has a sticky thread which specifically SHOUTS at people that Beryl is Beta software and has the ability to hose your install.
Are you sure you have actually installed Ubuntu and looked at this stuff form a newbs perspective, or are you just throwing your elitism into the mix because your bored?
Germany declared war on the US after Pearl Harbour - to this day no really knows why Adolf took that route, if he hadn't the prevailing sentiment at the time would have most likely seen the US continue to provide material assistance to the UK, but nothing else, while they concentrated on the Japanese war, leaving the UK to fight on for a hell of a lot longer.
Vietnam wasn't so much about helping the French as stopping communism - in 1945 the State Department went out of it's way to make life as uncomfortable for the European nations trying to reimpose colonial rule across parts of Southern Asia - it was only when the red menace was spotted that the US started sending in advisors. I would recommend reading Street without Joy for an excellent overview of the situation in the early 1960's in Vietnam.
Actually, the majority of people over here on the mainland now look upon the Unionists as a bit of an embarrassment, their main fund raising seems to be drug running and general gangster ism.
Not that the other mob are lily white, not by a long straw, but generally they are all as bad as each other.
Now, when the Unionists say they are British, and you get the map out and show them the Islands of Ireland and Great Britain are geographically separate, thats when the fun starts....
one of our allies is functionally at war with Lebanon due to their official government's support of another terrorist organization.
I think you'll finds the Lebanese government would really like to kick Hezbullah out, but can't because they dont have the military means to do it.
Plus the fact Hezbullah are being supplied with arms by Syria (Katusha type rockets) and Iran (more of the same plus a couple of Silkworm anti-shiiping missiles) makes them more than just a bunch of loonies in a bunker.
The fact the Israelis have been punding them for a couple of weeks now and are still on the end of the odd rocket attack certainly shows just what a tough nut they are to crack.
Point is, the Lebanese would really love these guys to go away, so to say they support em is just plain wrong.
A business that bought a 2 Mbps E1 line and got spanked for using it more than 1/8 of the time would quickly find another ISP.
Afraid that over here that the cable ISPs will routinely include a caveat in their contract specifying that you cannot use these conenctions for business use, and they WILL kick you if your caught.
I can beat that hands down.
A couple of years ago I was doing some onsite support for a 'food casing manufacturer' (sausage skins, gelatin by products etc)
Anyway, in one end of the plant you got cow skins, and out the other end went boxes and boxes of sausage skins and the like.
Anyway we had to replace some PC's out on the shop floor, but the management were determined to recover any useable memory or HDD's from the machines, as spares for the line controllers.
You cannot begin to imagine what it's like opening a case and having to use a knife to cut through the years of skin to get the lid off, never mind trying to find the motherboard.
Needless to say after 3 we told the managers that they were all dead as the dodo
I know that feeling mate, couple of years ago I got bumped out of my consultancy job and the visit to the job centre was horrible. The complete lack of understanding that you don't want to p'ss away 8 years as a project manager to take a development job at the other end of the country for peanuts was very annoying.
The how little would you work for was a particular gripe - you say £20k, thinking 5 below the national avg wage is indicitive of being willing to look for work and some bint says your being unrealistic why not £15k?
I could go on at length, but keep the faith, Jobserve came through for me and I'm now with a big 4 financials company doing a dream job (for me)
Heck, the Basque sepratists didn't blow up the Madrid underground to cause fear, they did it to change the cost-benefit equation of continuing to occupy the territory.
Don't mean to nit pick, but the Basque's didn't di that one, it was linked back to Al Qaeda. The then incumbent Spanish PM tried to say it was the Basques, but then got egg on his face and his porkies certainly added to the level of mistrust in his administration which was subsequently voted out
Funnily enough I work for a national braodcast company and one of our radio presenters asked us this very thing, seemingly the mouse clicks as she worked her mouse were being carried over the radio and people complained.
Any answer would be welcome....
Funnily enough I actually contributed a piece to the latter version, but have never been able to see what the ramblings on an 8 year old describing his local town look like 17 years later
Punting! Punting is stricly reserved for those who are too dim to have full motor control over their feet and legs.
Punting! next thing you know he'll want to pick it up and run! Bloody eggchasers......
I think it was something to do with the fact the workers felt more motivated to work because they felt they were being valued as part of the study. Whether this was subconcious or not is another matter...
Nope, they are talking about OEM machines that have a one-time choice to boot into one or the other.
Essentially they are trying to lever the small/medium business sector who buy their machines and take the OS pre-installed. i.e. they don't use an imaging tool to dump their own build on. It's a bit of a pain as several of our customers are in this bracket and they are just finishing off deploying Win2k, soon we will have to ask them to pony up extra cash for an OS, just so they can have the same across the board.
Jeez, you sit around at work bored out your skull looking for something to do and when you try and add something to the sum of human knowledge you get slaughtered.
On the actual subject though, it'll be interesting to see just what the final storage figure would be for a 3*3*3 block, if the middle one did fail, then 'surely' your gonna loose some space, and if your near capacity, there goes your data. I hate to think what it will be like trying to back these puppies up on the crappy tape drives this place still uses
Yeah, but the problem the labels have over here is that the average cost of a CD dropped to around £10, so while they are shifting more units, the cost per unit has dropped.
Unfortunately, they find themselves still slightly down on the bottom line

What does intellectual property licensing have to do with adopting a central currency?
