It was more in the sense of "How can say 'Look - this is the same' if you ghost one side" Actually it's not. It is English, written in Greek letters (so they simply changed the font for that text). For example, the last line reads: (also see mfree/rmfree below) Look at the word "below" and it will become obvious: beta epsilon lambda o omega. The character "omega" is substituted for "w", because it looks like a Latin w, and there is no w in Greek; also AFAIK there is no letter o. All in all it is some really stupid obfuscation. Its one thing to state that mplayer works better in your situation (by my own admittance it is a very capable media player), but to bash one of IMHO one of the best open source projects around isnt fair. At work, i have it built from source on a slack9 box, it loads instantly, and it doesnt skip under heavy cpu load (/glare XMMS). (It does, however, stop playing if i click and drag a windowmaker window for longer than 5-6 seconds, go figure). To him and his own, god bless the options of OSS.

Beware though, some of the newer versions have disabled the ablility to disable sharing files, and while some technical trickery can over come this, (and not that i advocate not sharing on a p2p network) ultimately you should have the choice.

Simply by bringing up computers, or speaking to people at bars of cool technologies, ive found myself doing work for a reasonably large crowd. Once you've done work for someone, they almost ALWAYS have a friend that needs something, and that friend has a friend, and so forth. While its not the most stable work in the world, i always seem to do alright. (I would put it on par with waiting tables, the numbers always seem to end up partially in your favor). The best part? You can charge $50/hour showing some nitwit how to install kazaa, and hes all the happier. And they love you :)
