    I was a consultant at a major bank 3-4 years ago. An FTE made a one line error in a Cobol program for printing bank statements. Everyone in a small town of about 6000 got Their first page of statement and pages 2,3,4 etc. of someone else's statement.

    Once they lost Connan, they started steadily going downhill

    I seen this statement several times here and other places. I still like the Simpsons and didn't have any idea where the GoodEpisodes/BadEpisodes line was drawn. So I did a little investigating and it seems Conan wrote 4 episodes.

    Instead of the E1 garbage compactor, have a giant garbage disposal(the sink type grinders). I don't know to spell this, but imagine the sound(the sound he(and kids) makes like humming and flicking your lips up and down with your forefinger). Whirl this, then grind.

    Good points, however:

    The moon (thanks to an astronomical quirk) has permanent day and night.

    The moon has day and night just like earth on the whole surface. We just see the 'front side' at all times. When you see a crescent moon, the sun is actually hitting the 'Dark Side'

    Scaled down versions of the Hancom apps are on the new Sharp Zaurus. Played with on the other day and they seemed to work as well as the MS apps on Compaq etc.

    Algorithms should be what is patented. The generalized ideas like this patent should not be patentable. We are seeing more and more of the frivoulous patents lately. The patent office is clueless with regards to i.t.

    I bet this company filed this patent with full intention of suing somebody over it in the future.
