I thought something was up when I went into the mozilla store and asked the chef for some pancakes and he looked at me with a perplexed look and said "you.. actually want to eat here??"
Why should we be using media that's so easily damaged? I've scratched DVDs simply by putting them in the tray slightly askew.. imagine all media was this fragile? Content owners are all too happy to sell you their wares on disks that get damaged very easily.. and they want to make sure you can't prevent damage by being able to back up what you purchased.
All these companies like playing both sides, they claim they're selling you a license, which means you should be allowed to backup as many times as you want, provided it's only you that's using it, then they turn around and tell you that you're only allowed one copy of the disk since it's the disk they've sold you.. not a license.
So, the question is, when I buy a game, or a movie, or music.. what the hell did I pay for? What am I actually legally entitled to?
What's news here is that it is no longer a civil matter when you infringe upon a company's intellectual property rights, It's criminal. This should always be a civil matter. I do not want to have my tax dollars spent on locking people up in prison for copyright infringement.
Perhaps you are thinking "you may already have won," but I don't see why that should be illegal.
Because it's misleading and the actual probability of having won is statistically insignificant? Why not have a banner ad that says "You might be able to play the piano with your feet!", cause then, by some fluke chance it might be true..? In the end, it's lying, plain and simple.

Then there's also the fact they have 10 times our population in a smaller geographical size thereby resulting in a much higher concentration of voters per polling station.
The population of Canada is far more densely arranged. Everyone crowds into big cities, whereas most of Americans live in small to medium sized cities. Think about it, Toronto has 5.5M people, Montreal has 3.6M people, those two cities alone account for about 30% of Canada's population.
My question is this: Why are the lines so long? I voted in the Canadian federal election a few weeks ago, I stood in line for no more than 10 minutes and I'm in a very large riding in downtown Montreal..
If I was told I had to wait several hours to vote, I'd be very mad.
What format are they using for the books when doing this calculation as to the size of the LoC?
Raw Text?
PDF?
JPEG? ....

Well, this proactive anecdote brings closure to the industry insider paradigm.

I argued with it, wasn't worth it.
I've installed several different Linuxen as well as XP, and win2k3 many times.. but OSX is by far the easiest install process.

I tried posting them right into the window, but slashdot's fantastic filters labeled the regex's as "junk characters"..

Here's a bunch of filters I've used (in PHP).
On a side note, here's some fantastic PHP code I found:
Best part of that Regex? It's easy to modify too!

Yeah, there's no such thing as "good" speech recognition yet.
You say that now, but once he walks on water and converts water into wine, you'll eat your works, oh yes.
The whole world agrees with those sentiments.
I agree with everything you said except:

He called Obama a Marxist for wanting to roll back the bush tax cuts.. dunno about you, but that's an outright lie.
Psh. You know as well as I do that Palin's gonna start her 2012 bid tomorrow.
FiveThirtyEight.com jacked up Obama's odds of winning to 98.1%
I like those odds.
Yeah, this election hasn't been long enough. Can we make it last 2 or 3 more years?
>But because of America's foundation in religion
What foundation are you referring to?
