    Sorry if I'm skeptical, but I don't see that as being a realistic possibility. If it is true, you must have some sort of Frankenstein machine.

    Example, slaves that can be started blank and copy all necessary files without needing to have a copy of the databases already.

    All digital signatures need to be verified with someone..

    If you're the government, how hard do you think it would be to tamper with those signature databases to make them match the man in the middle?

    RSA signatures work against your run-of-the-mill hacker, but does not stop telcos/gov from doing this.

    Who do you think controls the root DNS servers?

    If you're using public key encryption, it isn't that much work for telcos to act as an encryption proxy to whomever you're connecting to, which pretty much kills any encryption you're using.

    Only true way to stop spying is shared key encryption, which is completely unrealistic for broad use.

    I just bought a "1TB External Hard Drive", formatted it and was delighted to find I had 920GB available.

    I love being sold products with accurate packaging.

    Imagine cars were sold like this? "Gas tank capacity: 50L", then you find out you can only put 42L in the tank..

    Err.. as soon as the value drops down, people will grab it up. I seriously doubt overpaying for a slice of the pie is somehow going to make people *less* interested in facebook.

    Prior art is not needed, they basically patented the concept of a URL used to request a search query, which really is no different than any other web request query. Basically what they just got patented is what us common folk know as a URL. Since amazon not only did not invent the URL, nor did can someone own a concept as basic as a URL, their patent is completely useless.

    I have search query abilities like that on my website too, http://www.newsique.com/search/some_search_string/ I'm not in the slightest bit worried of a lawsuit since it's such a garbage claim. Should they ever try to assert this supposed patent, it would be very easily thrown out.

    Even when the delays in your baggage are completely artificial? What happens when no one pays for priority? or if everyone pays for priority?

    What happens when the air carriers decide to charge for not holding your baggage for an extra 15 minutes (without reason other than to charge you)?

    So is it fair to say that when Bush "wins", that's a loss for the Bill of Rights?

    I'm not sure how immunity can be granted when it clearly go against the US Constitution, given that the president takes an oath "to uphold the United States Constitution", doesn't this mean he's in breach and therefore liable of contempt?
