    You're also missing the obvious reason as to why it had poor sales: the movie sucked. I don't know a single person that liked it. The acting was weak, story was uninteresting and the dialog was droning and uninteresting, characters were completely unrealistic.

    I don't think you understand the concept of neutrality. Either you're neutral or you're not, there is no neutral scale, so you cannot "enhance" net neutrality.

    If google is getting premium internet service because they're paying more money, that's not neutral, period.

    Without a healthy competition, there is no pressure to lower prices.

    Two things:

    1) Microsoft rarely engages in fair/healthy competition. (Citation: Internet Explorer)

    2) Prices are not the only thing that matter here, actually improving the product is more important in my opinion.

    The big difference here, is Microsoft (when it has no competition) does nothing to improve its product, it generally stagnates and releases less than stellar products; Apple when it has no competition, continues to come up with new and cool stuff, however they usually lock down their stuff way more than they would if they had to compete. OSX is far more open than the ipod, this is because the Mac has to fight for its market share, whereas the ipod dominates.

    You're able to tell Facebook that your friend died. I did this when someone I know died, and facebook removed all apps and ads from his page, and he never pops up in those suggest-a-friend style things.

    In several countries (eg. Canada) they cannot retain the info once you've requested it deleted. They also cannot simply sell it to whomever they want.

    Knowing as they do that the signature is legitimate, they should have offered this guy 10 or 20 million bucks to just go away rather than taking the risk that this guy will end up seizing a big chunk of equity.

    How do you know they didn't?

    Maybe they offered $50M and the guy said, "I want a billion"..?

    Uhh, a 2 year old laptop will run windows 7 just fine.

    An iPhone 3G running iOS 4 does not run properly, my ipod skips and lags whenever *anything* happens on it.

    Anyway, I'm done, you're just repeating yourself.

    Dude, the iPhone 3G is 2 years old and it runs at an unreasonably slow speed. My complaint is completely legitimate and nothing like a complain that my 10 year old computer cannot run a modern OS.

    I'm using the 3G which does not have multi-tasking.

    The new features I got were "unified mailbox", folders and slightly nicer looking icons. The only explanation I can figure for this speed decrease (we're talking a 50% reduction in speed) is because of the increase in resolution of UI elements due to the iPhone 4's higher rez.

    In any case, I want to downgrade, because iOS 4 is basically unusable on my phone.

    I remember when people were first speculating that the iPad might be locked down. A lot of Apple fans called that FUD too.

    If they were wrong once about the ipad features, they pretty much guarantied to be wrong about some insane future prophecy about the demise of the mac os.

    The only reason they didn't do multi-tasking was because the iPhones 1 and 3G weren't powerful enough to deliver a smooth experience. I don't recall anyone at apple claiming multi-tasking is bad.

    Dunno, my alarm clock wouldn't be very useful if I turned it off before I go to bed..

    It's not a matter of "constantly" changing it, but during development, I've had to add/edit ENUM fields several times, and it's a real pain in the ass to deal with. MySQL has no problem with changing ENUMs. I'm really not sure why Postgres makes such a big deal out of it.

    Postgres's pain in the ass enumeration handling annoys me greatly.

    (What I mean: Once an ENUM has been set in a table, you cannot add/remove/edit fields in it. That really sucks.)

    So, where do I sign up to put my ad network on google's search results? Google seems to only allow adsense and awords on their pages, why do you suppose that is? Sounds like restraint of trade, which as you say, is illegal.

    The last time I checked, Isohunt was based in Canada as was Garry Fung. And last time I checked, Canada was (not yet) part of the US. Just another arrogant American judge who thinks that the entire world should be subject to US rule and law.
