My thoughts exactly. True, as others have posted, White Wolf does not have complete IP rights to the concept of Vampire VS Werewolves. That said, my first exposure to this movie was a couple weeks ago when a friend of mine who works on the Sony movie websites showed me the design concepts (I did not see any real movie content, this was all web marketing shit), my first thought, just based on the visuals, was "Is this a White Wolf movie?", and my second was "This looks like a real piece of shit, my god they'll make anything into a movie these days". Just my two cents.
You have to get to the Supreme Court by appeals. So first you have to have you case heard in lower courts, and even then the Supreme Court has the power to pick which case it will hear, so you might never get that far.
This could make the purchase of dvd burners slow down in my opinion.
Really? I can't say that I've seen too many people wanting a DVD burner to pirate DVD's. The things are so cheap (the DVD's, not the burners) that when you take into account the time it takes to rip the thing, well it's like that wise old saying, 'Linux is cheap if your time is worth nothing'.
I think that apple released a beta of iSync not because it wanted to, but because palms support for OS X was so lacking and that was effecting consumer opinion of the Mac.
As far as Safari and X11 go, these are built upon open source, and while they don't have to realease to the public for debugging, it is the norm.
A friend of mine traded his order for the 17", opting for the 12" after he finally played with the one 17" they have on display at the SoHo store (it's in the window people, just ask). I asked about it and he replied "you mean the lunch tray?". The thing is really too damn big.
They're not just called KISS, they are KISS, the same KISS, all over America. Clear Channel operates cart stations. This means that they have a big building some were (probably some medium sized city like Austin or something) filled with DJ's. All the music is programed by a national director so it doesn't matter if your in New York or Seattle, the same song will be on the radio. The DJ's just make it sound like they're in your town, but the only thing local about a Clear Channel station are the commerials.
sort of, the Dead have never said "go ahead a bootleg our albums" what they said was "go ahead a record and share our live shows". Slight difference. One is stealing a product and the other is shareing an experiance. Oddly enough, the first major public BBS was run by the Whole Earth back in the early 80's and its primary use was for Deadheads to communicate and share tapes. Does that mean that the net has always been about p2p?
Speaking of bcc, I was able to turn it on in 10.1 but I did a clean install for 10.2 resetting everything. I forgot how to turn on bcc, if anyone could post a way to do it, that would be swell.
the firmware patches at the parents link are great. I replaced the firmware on the stock drive that came with my quicksilver and have never had a problem. I can play everything with the Apple DVD player no problem. Several people have mentioned video lan client, it works but always seems a bit clunky to me. It does however support some.avi codecs that quicktime has trouble with.
A. Microsoft shall not retaliate against or threaten retaliation against an OEM by altering
Microsoft's commercial relations with that OEM, or by withholding newly introduced
forms of non-monetary Consideration (including but not limited to new versions of
existing forms of non-monetary Consideration) from that OEM, because it is known to
Microsoft that the OEM is or is contemplating:
1. developing, distributing, promoting, using, selling, or licensing any software that
competes with Microsoft Platform Software or any product or service that
distributes or promotes any Non-Microsoft Middleware;
2. shipping a Personal Computer that (a) includes both a Windows Operating
System Product and a non-Microsoft Operating System, or (b) will boot with
more than one Operating System
If you read further though (INAL) it seems as if MS is only prohibited from sanctions against OEMs that create dual boot systems. It makes no mention of a computer without windows at all. It would seem to me that MS could use this as a loophole. Lets say company X sells one dual boot system, but company Y sells two different single boot systems (one with windows and one one with linux). Company X is safe thanks to the provisions of the judgement. Company Y however gets no protections against MS because the judgement only makes mention of OEMs who build dual boot systems. Please, somebody prove me wrong.
As far as the time, it would seem to be targeted to soap opera watchers who work (and thus can't watch every day). My mom at you point was over a year behind (generally she's one month) on her General Hospital habit, but she had them all on tape for when she got around to it. A 1200 hour tivo could hold about four years worth of soaps. And I've meet several people who tape the damn things and they're always a month or two behind.
I've heard that they own a couple of office buildings in Manhattan. Rent in NYC is ungodly high. My understanding is that they make enough off of those rent's (probably donated building too) to pay all the operating expenses for the school. CU also has one of the best Architecture schools in the country, in highly regarded in many fields of study, and I'm sure they don't have any problem getting nice big grants and donations.
True, this 11mp can easily be used by consumer printers on the market, I would how ever like to point out that you've been sucked into the 'resolution myth'(tm).
When a printer like the 'EPSON Stylus Photo 820 Silver' (I randomly pulled that off their site btw) say's that it can do 2880 x 720 dpi, it can lay down that much ink on to the paper. But the printer won't actually accept that much information. So if you send it a file that you've sized to 8"x10" at 720 dpi, chances are it's going to throw out everything above 300 or 320 dpi. So you slowed down your print time, and sent the device a lot of wasted info.
Call a professional print house and ask them what to send, most always they tell you size your file to 300 dpi. There are printers in use that will take 600 dpi, but none that I know of on the consumer market. Even lamda and sphere prints which are digital 'C' prints made onto normal color photo-paper using a laser, and are about the sharpest clearest prints out there are only 320 dpi.
I thought that MS Works and Apple Works were basically the same thing, just that the Microsoft version was branded different (both made by Clairis before it got folded back into apple?). BTW, Apple works 6 can be installed on Windows in case anyone is iching for an update to their old MSWorks.
The answer that fits into star treks "real" continuity, I do not know. But, I remember seeing an interview about TOS at one point and the question was raised and answered. The real (ie practical) reason is that the makeup crew didn't keep real good records. Originally the Klingons where just a monster of the week so no concrete documentation was made and even over the course on TOS their look changed time to time.
unless you turn off your sound. play away, I'll never hear it.
YOUR A TRACER!!

And how do you do that?

Stephenson's 'Dimond Age' does the same thing. Good flow, and then BAM!! It's like he got bored with it or some thing.
they did, it was called the Matrix.
I've tried four times to read that. Always get about a fourth of the way through it and then... well I've never gotten further than that.

Bite my Shiny Metal Ass.
a case of BAWLS and a job application for the local food-court.

That's supposed to be a joke? Right?
Apple provides the software to do this with OSX Server. You might however, try carbon copy cloner as others have suggested
