  1. Re:Never, ever upgraded the platform on Lego to Stop Producing Mindstorms · · Score: 2, Interesting

I worked for Legoland last summer and ran a mini Mindstorm robotics camp. Lego did have an update for Mindstorm, but it was only available to educational institutions not the public. The improvements weren't that great compared to the previous set IMHO. Still, the kids had a great time with Mindstorm; however, not the way they were intended to be used. From their example, Lego should produce a Lego battle bots set.

  2. The Future of E-books is in Education on Bubble Bursts for e-Books · · Score: 1

I believe that e-books were introduced to a market which is not ready for them. A better suited market is the education market. Parents buy tons of educational toys for their children each year. You can imagine the advantages of an e-book over a paper book. There can be animation and audio in e-books and the interactivity will keep the kids involve. Wouldn't it be cool to have a book tailored to your child? Have your name on the main character and put your face on a character. Also, this technology makes the choose-your-fate genre more interesting. Additionally, these books can read themselves or help kids with their pronounciation. A quick touch on a word brings up a difinition or a picture. Parents will eventually pressure schools to buy e-books to help students. Targeting adults who can be nostalgic and stubborn is the wrong way to go.

Use robot.txt to tell them to go away, if they don't you're in for the money. It still doesn't get them off the hook because the software is used by them. A person who hires a hitman is just as guilty as the hitman. Next, they agreed to the price. It doesn't matter the what the market value is. If I sell you a dollar for a gold bar, that's your problem since you agreed to it. If I bought a dollar for a gold bar, it's my fault since I agreed to it.

  6. Water as a pollutant? on A Hydrogen-Based Economy · · Score: 1

How long before water emission becomes a pollutant? Adding water to local and global environment "may" change weather patterns just as CO2 is doing right now? In addition, more high clouds in the sky will reflect more sunlight, causing the Earth to cool down. On the other hand, more low clouds (fog) may act like a blanket and trap more heat which accelerates the greenhouse effect. Not to mention, in Dune, water ironically kills the local fauna and deprives the people of precious spice.

Art is weird anyways. I hardly call Picasso's paintings beautiful. They are absolutely ugly. Art critics look at crap and they can call it genius.
