I work in this industry and there is laws here that state that we have to have specific tests and development for this kind of software and the suppliers simply doesn't want to support Linux or any other platform than Windows. Most doesn't even support OSX. The only alternative to comply with the laws and use Linux would be a internally developed system. Security isn't something that the laws in this field take into account so Windows problems there doesn't count unfortunately.
This is a law being enforced by the green party. That all other parties is on board is simply because everyone needs the greens to get to power - despite they having only less than 7% voted for them. They are the only party that have supported both the bloc in the parliament in the past.

Any song that is six months old will get lower ranking. It will then had been played to many times on radio and other source's. If he want good ranking on Spotify he should release there at launch.
Gnome cut useful features in the same way that Apple does. And both desktop is therefore a bad choice if you like to customise you desktop to suite you. Now MS are follow suit with Windows 10 so we will soon all be forced others opinions on how a GUI should look down our throats.
Personally I think that stinks and that Gnome took a good start and buried in "we know what's best" attitude that I will do better without.
Apparently I live in a place that get colder with global warming. Last July was cold. This was apparently the coldest in over a hundred years. So apparently we get a raw deal here and won't see any warmer summers because off climate change. However, the winters are warmer. Basically we seam to get a new kind off weather were the temperature during summer and winter equalise... That sucks
No. It is not sustainable. All these people saying that the problem is with the "first world" and that the "third world" doesn't have so much ecological impact disregard the simple fact that the people in the third world won't accept there current level of life forever. They will increase their consumption and their ecological footprint. Earth can't sustain more than three billion people living in comfort.
There is only two ways - reduce human population to three billion or ALL humans will be forced to live on a third world level.
It's the lack of games and commercial applications. Linux needso Photoshop and other pay ware applications. Stallman and other OSS zealots doesn't seam to understand this.
Please. Have you ever used Photoshop for anything more advanced? Comparing it to the open source alternatives isn't even funny. They are so far behind that it is embarrassing. This also applies to most commercial competitors.

I have to live in a different reality because where I live USB audio is really rare. Almost everyone I know always use simple 3.5mm connected audio.
