So, any particular reason to include CHINA'S Huawei?? I don't recall there being too many of them to cause confusion?
I don't recall reading that an American Apple iPad exploded recently, or that South Korean Samsung had some trouble with exploding phones a couple years back.
Sigh. You do know had this trial worked out and maybe was implemented it would create a whole bunch of efficiencies as it would combine all those multiple programs into a single entity.
Even better, had they let the program run it's course, found out that either yes it worked, or, no it didn't, and we'd never have to bring it up again. Now we're going to be stuck going back and forth just we did with the Scarborough subway. Just wasting everyone's time and money.
It's a pretty short blog post. There's no flamewar raging accross reddit, as far as I know, there's been actual 'storms and 'gates about lesser things. If you're in a given profession, or just a fan of X, you're gonna complain when people get something wrong./. wouldn't exist otherwise.
If you're an developer, you're gonna nitpick someone else's sloppy code. Really, what's a few kb of leaking memory per hour? If you're a cook, you're gonna nitpick someone else's sloppy cooking. Meh, what's an extra half-cup of salt and sugar? If you're a designer, you're gonna nitpick someone else's layout. But I got a hundred fonts installed, why not use them?
Are things so bad that 'works as advertised' is worthy of a news story?
If only those 50,000 people attending the concert would have to go through some kind of a gate system by which they would trickle through making it easy to identify then a handful at a time. I'm sure someone much smarter than me will figure out such a system, they might even realize they could use it to see if people should be allowed in at the same time. Maybe give out tokens or tickets or something. Or go all web 2.0 and use one of them new-fangled "app" things.
Kinda odd as the rest of Google is figuring out how to waste more of our data by cramming preloaded "suggested" items into their apps (Android Chrome & Maps for example).
Also, expect to see new memory-usage benchmark-advertorials - Look how much less memory Chrome uses! It's magic!
To build on yours: 1) Just create a new fake advertising agency and have it buy it's way into full access to facebook, twitter, and other social media. 2) Get access via whichever 3-letter agency has full open access, just use the usual "for the children" and all that.
Any small business is run based on the personality of the boss. If you don't get along, you're gonna be let go.
Any moderately sized or larger company is going to have a 'corporate culture' document, if one finds themselves falling out of line with it, chances are pretty good they'll find themselves unemployed as well.
'Teh media' (especially ones that operates a television channel) will jump at any chance to get a story out first. That means lots of 'developing' and 'stay tuned for details' and not any of 'fact checking' and 'research'. This does not cost any money.
Seems that everyone, be they Republican, Democrat, or Russian based anti-virus vendors forget this.
-- Still not sure if he's covering up the fact that Kapersky is working with the Russian gov. or that they're just not so good at protecting computers from malware/hacking. I'd put some money on that they were infiltrated by the FSB without their knowledge - again, not a good look for a security company.
Stop wasting data pre-loading junk in Chrome and Maps. If I want to find a breakfast place, transit or traffic directions, they are a click away. Same with Chrome's suggested stories or whatever they're called.
I was going to ask if you were new here, but based on your user id, clearly not. Congrats on waking up from your coma!! You've missed quite a bit in the last 5-10 years, most important of which is that/. gets click-bait crazy about anything Apple related. Also, fyi, M$ is generally not used anymore.:-)
Breaking news! The ghost of Steve Jobs has been secretly running Apple via an Italian what-I-imagine formerly Lumia/Windows Phone focused blog. More at 11.
Mastercard (and Visa, Amex, absolutely everyone) already know this. And do this in every single other country on the planet* outside of the good ol' USA.
* Ok, can't say for sure, but everywhere I've been to europe and asia for sure. I'm sure most of the "developing" world has it as well because it's much safer and quicker.
Because only those with a Google account in good standing will be allowed through the gates./s
The next slightly-more-inclusive-white-flight-2.0 to the suburbs is guaranteed to happen again. (It's the circle of liiifeee~) Hopefully cities learn from the past and do slightly better when it happens again.
I always knew those OS2 folks were a cult! Now where was I, oh, yes, 2019 is abso-posi-lutely the year of Linux on the desktop! I feel it in my bones!
I guess it's time to update all the memes. Out with Winnie the Pooh, in with the Sandworm of Arrakis.
Totally, I'm seeing all sort of posts and helpful hints about this in my Google reader.
Ah, do tell how you got Google Earth working in FF.
Yeah, undermining people's trust in your OS's security update mechanism is great idea. I really hope someone got a raise for this.
F*uking hell. What kind of drugs would any semi-self-respecting developer have to be on to suggest this, and gets it ok'd by multiple managers.
Can we bring public stoning back.

Not OP, but, there were other options. Doug was a bad joke as a city councilor (I'm being very generous here), and now he gets to run the province.
Do you remember why the Liberals were in power for 15 in the first place?
You're not gonna like what HP has been up to either. :-)

Next, you're going to tell me they have trouble with sarcasm.
But it does want full-body nude pics. "For Science".

Yes and no.

This is what happens when you let "ai" generate your questions for you based on website stats'n'usage.
Someone better add Google to the list (ok, a one-item list) of story key words their bot floods with 'you're holding it wrong derp derp' posts.

This is not that hard to understand is it?

Here's another idea for Google.
