I'm sure somewhere within the 500 comments this is mentioned somewhere, but doesn't a 1GB/month or xGB/month defeats the who purpose of broadband? We're back to the dial-up days of timing your usage (since in England, we are billed per minute - in some cases) but instead of timing, we're counting our bytes. Wasn't the purpose of broadband streaming video/music downloads (lega issues aside).

By having restrictions, AND by paying a subscription charge, what's the point? Sure, Slashdot loads that little bit faster but, if that's the case, I'd rather use dialup with no capping (and not cut-off time) and use that.

Luckily (and touch wood) BlueYonder hasn't decided to to this - unless I'm mistaken :| *gulp*

Load a Google results page into the Page Holder and click away ;) I haven't yet switched to Safari yet - is still in Beta, and personally, am quite happy with my IE/Chimera combo. at least here in England (and Europe I presume from reading the other comments) the calling party pays. Which makes sense. You make the call, you pay for it. I don't want to pay for YOUR DECISION to call me! I primarily don't use my phone to call people, instead, I use it for text messages and for recieving calls. Thus, I am quite happily able to live off £10 of pre-paid credit for months on end (i get free txts) - which suits my meagre budget just fine.

Oh yeah, NetMD now apparently is better, but I've never had one, nor will I ever get a MD player again. For me? 20gb iPod all my music, all my documents and 'some' of my movies in my pocket. I just think in a portable market, having a laptop open whilst taking pics is silly - esp. with the range of BlueTooth. I reckon a Bluetooth adapter on an iPod will be better, so you can upload pics in between shoots, clearing the local camera's storage.

Mac OSX on x86 hardware? jeez, get real. It's the mac hardware/software relationship that makes the 'overall' mac experience so great. I've actually converted last year, and now, I'm preaching Apple's wonder called OS X to almost everyone. And their reaction? 'Where do I buy one?' Now, I know the iBook itself is more expensive, but then again, it is a laptop, and I bought it NOT solely for games and videos. The latter are just a bonus, and for £25, it is well worth it. That said, with a PowerBook, you don't even need to purchase a properitary (s?) AV cable, just use a standard Yellow/Red/White thing :) which you can probably pick up for £5.

Anyway, going a bit off topic... i think divx on xbox is pretty kewl.. but a bit useless for me - apart from the gaming part - but the GC looks better (and smaller!!).

BTW.. does anyone know how to watch divx .mov (quictkime) on PC's.. after converting the AVI to MOV - since QT can't handle avi with mp3 audio? I'd like to watch all my movies on both mac/pc.
