    In designing a module is there a time variable, and would you be able to affect when monsters showed up and their strength depending upon the time?

    I agree with you, but he does make one point.

    A lot of RPGs have taken out the element of strategy, you pretty much do the same thing over and over wihtout thinking. It more like watching a movie or reading a book.
    Also because of the ability to save easily, you never have to take chances and deal with the consequences.

    What are you talking about?

    Eventually a computer player will be so good it will be impossible to beat.

    You can't beat a computer at tic-tac-toe, connect four, and checkers, so one day it will be impossible to beat a computer at chess.

    I have also thought of the possibility if GNU stuff had no teeth in court.

    I agree with most of what you say, I believe you know what you are talking about but in the case of
    RAID 5, you'll have n-1 amount of storage, where n is the capacity of a single drive.

    That doesn't make sense,
    capacity of drive *( # of drives - 1) makes a little more sense. Assuming all drives are the same.

    I read yours and actually it just doesn't make sense though I know what you are trying to say. :)

    I completely agree, but not when your salary may cause the demise of the sport.

    When the unions go after more money it generally so the high paid can get more. They could care less about what the sport will be like in 20 years. They seem to care little about the players who paved the way nor the players who are to come. It's I want it all now, pay up.

    The real question is what can they put in the OS and what they can't.

    No one complains about wordpad being in windows.

    If I make a linux distribution I can put what ever I want in the thing, and call it features.

    MS tries to add functionality to windows and it is screamed that they can't do that, they are a monopoly.

    If they added terrific zip features in windows(which I wish they would), for now I will use icenows(sp?), would you scream monopoly?

    If they improved their file manager would you scream monopoly?

    I understand you point and agree with it to some extent, but where in the line?

    Has any company out there used topographical maps to maps 3D render of areas? And maps?

    Most of these maps have dots for houses, green for forest, and lines for elevation it would seems you could scan this in and make some neat maps. Beyond me of course but is anyone doing this sort of thing?

    Yes, cheating is a bad thing. I abhor it. But hears the thing that I dislike the most.

    I am an average player I guess, but sometimes I play against people that are awesome. I mean there will be 8 guys playing, I will be 32-12 only because my teammate is 60-3! Is he cheating? If he ain't cheating I am going to sit back and watch him play and learn, but everyone thinks he's cheating and I suspect also.

    And can you tell the difference between an awesome player and a cheater? how?

    Also, when I get on a streak it's gets old people telling me I am a cheater(this is rare), instead of saying well done they say stop cheating. Ruins the experience for everyone.

    The AWP completely sucks in CS. You can switch to fast from pistol to AWP.
    Switching to the awp should a take a sec or two.

    You should not be allowed to run or jump when have a awp. And the scope should take a bit of time to focus.

    It is simply too powerful the way it is and makes the game fun for only those who are good at it.

    And why does a shot in the leg kill you from a AWP when a shot from a deagle close range does not? Makes no sense.

    Not that I don't think Linux kernel maintainers can be relied upon to detect such false entries.

    But this only proves that they can detect _a_ false entry. For all we know there a dozen more false entries.

    While I agree it's a good thing, to say that it proves conclusively that Linux' QA works and works damn well is a bit of stretch.

    There is a lot of things that can't be done well or at all with NAT.
    The problem is NAT solves about 80% of the problems, it is too good.

    But agree NAT sucks with internet games, running servers, and DNS.

    Great idea! Except of course who is going to put the bell on the cat?

    Yes, I would love software that could do everything he wants. Now who is going to write it? Will it collapse under it own weight?

    Why did they choose Postgresql and not MySQL?

    Was it because of the license(BSD vs GPL)? postgresql is considered more advanced than MySQL? both? something else?

    You are missing quite a lot.
    Sorry for the flame, but if they banned pro-choice sites what would you think?
    Or if you are not pro-choice some other political view banned.

    There are a lot of rational people on both sides of this issue, and to censor one and not the other is simply not right.

    Your whole argument it based on the fact that you don't want MS to get code for free. Since they shouldn't no others companies should also. People use this slant alot when defending the GPL. They can't accept something(BSd licenses) that could possibly benefit MS.

    No, but I have seen favorable reviews for firebird and I have considered using it. I would say that is gaining ground. Opinions are flying around here and you get sarcasist on this point?

    IE half the browser that Netscape is? Sorry, I have used both I wanted to like netscape but IE was simply better. Maybe you didn't like IE because it was by MS maybe? Anyway will we have to agree to disagree on this one.

    btw I am starting to forget how this conversation started, and what point we are trying to make?
