    See since it is darker than any other black material, he said blacker than black because it is blacker than any other material known on earth. And because it is blacker than any known material material on earth he said blacker than black. Because the previously blackest known material was black! Therefore he said blacker than black. Get it?

    Forgive me if you were trying to be funny, both sides seem to be overly sensitive.

    Oh I can't wait to see the mods on this one.

    You see with some stupid moderators, truth has no meaning only what they want the truth to be.

    Whoever modded this as a troll is a complete idiot. Gnome is slow and a resource hog so it is a legit question to ask if it has improved in these areas.

    And yes I will not post AC so go ahead and mod me down also. Maybe I just need coffee.

    hmmm. It is not cheaper to make your own clothes from scratch.
    Where do you get the material?
    The patterns?
    Do you make your own material from the lambs in your pasture or the cotton plants in your field?

    A car that costs a few thousand dollars from scratch. Ever tried to make a rubber tire? How about a fuel pump? Where is your mine to get the fe, al, etc.

    Also, you dismiss time as a non-factor? Think again.

    Open source is great, but your 2nd paragraph is just wrong.

    I am trying to decide if you are just clueless or a troll.

    I would disagree. Good(popular) movies don't tank when the econonmy is bad, bad movies do well when the economy is good.

    The movie tanked because quite simply it wasn't very good.

    It's the unions.

    The company I work for is a small company but has a good size presence at certain shows(Networld).

    In vegas we put our own booth up though the union doesn't like it.(You're stealing food from our children!).

    If it was in Florida, we would have to pay the union to set-up the booth(and damage everything), while charging us huge amounts of money for a sub-par job, because it is Against The Law for us to set it up ourselves. And you thought just big business and governments were corrupt.

    Called right to work or something like that.

    You're a small software company, you work hard as do your employees.
    Your software is excellent, while the open source software is very good. When you innovate the open source team just copies what you did.
    Now every year you pay taxes thereby supporting the open source guys and paying to make the competition better.

    Do get me wrong I think open source has many advantages, but lost in the shuffle and hatred for MS, many small companies get run out of business.

    notice the very first one which is RedHat 7.1 I think. It is different why did they change the behavior of ls.

    But your missing the point, all I am saying is that RedHat(maybe Lindows) is the most likely to stray from traditions and standards than other lini(yes i made that word up).

    Again I am not bashing linux or redhat just an observation, and to the person who modded my previous post as troll?! go reread the guidelines.

    You prove my point.

    Unix is for computer geeks, RedHat is trying to make Linux more usable to the average user, thus changing things to fit their needs. As MS did and still does.

    Your tone suggests that I hate RedHat, I don't. I use it at work and am perfectly happy. But RedHat seems to more willing to break tradition for the sake of usability than other distro's. Which reminds me of MS many moons ago and still does.

    Come on RedHat is the MS of the linux world.

    Case in point: do an ls -l on your redhat box and then ls -l on almost any other unix box

    You will notice that the listing on RedHat is not correct:

    RedHat ls:

    Aaa
    aaa
    BBB

    Any other would be

    Aaa
    BBB
    aaa

    There is quite a number of others things redhat scarifices to be more user friendly(or something)
    Don't get me wrong, I am not saying it is bad for business or I hate RedHat, just an observation.

    I struggle with this statement. I don't cheat and never have in cs. I am considered a good player but have played against players who were much better than I.

    I hate saying I am doing bad because someone is cheating, but sometimes it really seems like they are cheating.

    I have also been accused of cheating, and most times they don't believe me. Frustrating both ways.

    I don't play alot, and always from home(married with children), but if I was younger LAN parties would be great, at least so there would be no cheaters!

    I wish they would all make it very easy to get to vibrate mode. One or two buttons at most. When my wife bought her cell phone she wanted easy access keypad lock and silent mode.

    ummm... not an embedded guru but it almost has to have an OS.

    The big embedded OS's are VxWorks, QNX, OSE, Nucleus, linux, among others.

    And the embedded processor will likely be a PowerPC, Intel, or Motorola chip.

    Again no guru here but your assumptions don't seem on. (Then again mine may also be be)

    My cousin works for the IRS. He takes the hard drives and down to an iron mill of some sort. Personally watches them all get destroyed.
